TERRIBLE SERVICE! RACIST & SEXIST! 1/27/2012

TERRIBLE SERVICE. we did not get our waiter until 30 minutes have passed and our &order did not pass through because they did not have a little bit of that a little bit of this... finally after an hour and a half we got you order to our table (it was our whole family of 9) they also messed up on our order, but we were hungry and did not care at that time so we started eating, the food had a funny taste.. and the served so little not fair at all i must say. finally, when i saw the price of what everything we ordered, they doubled and tripled everything! our whole family was angry. they started cursing at us and pointing fingers at our children and the grandparents rushed them to the car. They kept on yelling at us asking us to pay the 'full' price.. of course we said no. They started threatening us..... saying outrageous ... they said that they have us on camera and that they will find us if we leave.... oh my goodness and they started saying they would call the police. Heck we were gonna call first so we called and the police told us to pay what we needed and just to get out of there and so we started for the exit. The people that were yelling at us sadly were the bosses. At least 2 of main people at the restaurant. They did not stop yelling at us especially when we walked out.. my wife claims that one of the guys pushed her and she is pregnant for gods sake! When we were getting in the car the were accusing us of not believing in god and other outrageous things. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! more

Simply Authentic. 12/12/2008

Dark, cold, rainy and windy Seattle evening. What a wonderful place to spend it. The service made you feel like family, the food was simple - Authentic and appropriately prepared. If you are looking for wonderful Indian cuisine prepared by people who make you feel at home this is the place! Pros: Comfortable...just the right ambience to relax and enjoy the dining experience Cons: Food was so good; tried to eat it all but could not! more

At your own risk!... 9/6/2008

Ok. Bombay Grille officially spoiled my wifes birthday with their horrible horrible service, especially towards indian people! which is wierd because this is an indian restaurant, somehow focussed on giving service to non indian folks. \r \r Two other people I have met there shared the same feeling. \r \r a. Our food was delayed and the orders set by ""american' folks were given first, this is accurate because not only i timed it, I also kept a count. \r b. Other folks were approached by the waiters, and they dint care much for the indian families in the place(there were only two). \r c. Service is poor in general, because they dont care to fill your water or even bother to ask you....\r \r our naan bread was done in a hurry and was unbaked inside! this is bad for your stomach and you will have issues later! ...\r \r Maybe I am feeling that they are biased based on my observations, but I believe I am right. I dont even give someone bad review if I dont mean it. \r \r I drove 23 miles to come to this restaurant and they would not even bring their manager to hear me out. so if you want to go here, you should do so at the risk of your evening being spoiled. if you want real indian food(these guys just make up curries), y ou should try like udupi or mysore masala (not that they are that great service, but atleast your food will be better :) )\r \r \r Sorry but this is my humble opinion. Pros: parking Cons: service, food more

Mangos! Mangos! Mangos! 5/4/2008

8 of my closest friends and I recently went to Bombay for my birthday. We were able to make reservations and our table was ready for us when we arrived! The inside of the restaurant was beautiful and it was very large. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive the entire evening. The menu has lots of selections but I had to go for the usual Tiki Masala. It was, unfortunately, luke-warm and average, at best. I've had better. But it was still tasty. Don't let my so-so dinner scare you. Some of my friends had a small sample platter and they LOVED it. They all raved and were so glad they ordered it. Have I emntioned the AMAZING drinks??? They have an assortment of different Mango drinks so everyone ordered something different. I had the BEST Mango Daquiri ever! Okay... I had two. :) And some of their chai tea. A little bitter for my preference, but I love sugary stuff. The best part of the evening was when the waitress brought us a free dessert for my birthday. It was some kind of Mango cheesecake and it was yummy!!!!!!!!!! I would return just to have a bunch of different Mango treats. :) Pros: Tasty Mango Treats! Friendly service Cons: A little on the pricey side more

Food, Service and Ambiance Are All Excellent 4/13/2008

Just visited the Bombay Grill for the first time tonight and had a perfect evening there. My date and I both felt that the food was excellent and even though the restaurant was busy the wait staff was very attentive and were genuinely interested taking care of us. We also felt that the ambiance was just right. Not too light or dark, very clean and well maintained. We'll be back. more

Great food - very warm and welcoming staff! 2/16/2008

We're originally from Delhi and have been looking for a good North Indian restaurant for a while - and we've found what we've been looking for! \r \r Great place, very warm and welcoming staff - the owner takes a lot of personal interest in making sure our experience is a great one -every time. The food is great - the naans and rotis - just like you'd get in Delhi!! Highly recommended! more

Best Indian Place in Seattle 8/13/2007

Great food. I have been coming here for years. The tandori chicken and chicken tikamasala are delicious. Pros: Great food Cons: Parking can sometimes be tight, but they do have free parking more

Loved it 4/14/2007

I went there on my Birthday with my wife. It's a very nice cozy place. The food was awesome. Get the Thali dinner, they have put in every Indian variety possible inside the Thali. The owner Rajan came and introduced himself and chatted for sometime. He gave us complimentary home made parathas, which literally melt in your mouth. My wife ordered the Himalayan korma, which was also very nice. At the end when we were about to leave the owner came out singing Happy birthday with Mango ice-cream (kulfi) complimentary with a candle, since my wife mentioned earlier about my birthday. The ice cream was really good, too bad we could not finish it as we were full. Highly recommended, great food with excellent corteous service. more

Average Indian Food 1/20/2007

Went to Bombay Grill recently, and I thought the food was decent, but nothing spectacular. The chicken dish that I had was mostly, but not all, white meat. The tastes were spicy but a bit bland. more

best indian food and service in seattle 10/19/2006

I have been to bombay grill sevaral times and every time it gets better and better, the food is great especially there tikka masala and the srilankan seafood curry, the spices are perfectly balance and the service is great and i will recommend this restaurant as the bestttttttttt in seattle. more

Average restaurant, but nothing more. 8/26/2006

Tried the place. It was mediocre. That is to say, less than I could cook on my own. For value? Definitely not. Maybe if they delivered but even then, this place's flavors just didn't suit me at all.\r \r Spices did not seem fresh. My girlfriend got korma. Had a taste of dehydrated onions remixed into the sauce at too high of a concentration. The pakoras were very starchy. Lots of chick pea flour. Tasted more like falafel w/ curry powder. The paneer tika masala was ordered 5 out of 6 on a scale of spicyness. I would rate it a 3. Spices seemed somewhat underpronounced. Could taste a bit too much yogurt. Too acidic. \r \r We found both of the food mostly bland. If you like Cedars (right next door too Bombay Grill) you'll probably find the food comparable. \r \r Pros: Parking is convenient Cons: Spices aren't fresh enough more

I great spot for good food and sorta romatic 7/20/2006

I went on a date here and was very impressed. They have a large menu and everything we ordered was very good. The place is romantic, sorta, it's not really romantic but will do. the prices are about average, and they have a good selection of wine and beer. Check it out.\r Pros: Excellent for and price Cons: little slow to give you the check more

Go back again and again! 3/19/2006

This place is fantastic! In the last 2 years I have been to this place more times than I can count. The food is wonderful and the service attentive. Frankly, after reading some of the reviews that were negative, I wondered if these folks were talking about the same restaurant! Try the Weekend Brunch Buffet. LOTS of choices all expertly prepared. Great Naan! Pros: Buffet, Cost, Choices Cons: Not near me.... more

My favorite Indian Restaurant! 12/15/2005

This place is great. Great service, great food, and it one of the few Indian restaurants that has wonderful ambience. Also it can be pretty cheap to dine there if you have the Entertainment card. more

Better food, more options, great service 12/1/2005

I'm suprised by a lot of the reviews for Bombay Grill. I've been several times and always had friendly service. The food is EXCELLENT. I'd say better than any other Indian Food in Seattle. The menu is broader than most of the standard options you get at Indian restaurants. Specials are usually fantastic. And thank god the food is actually spicy. I'm sick of ordering spicy food at Asian restaurants only to find out they have ""dummed down"" the spice for the less spice inclined palates. I thought the lack of parking comment by another reviewer was funny. What other restaurants are you going to that even have a free parking lot option? Most places its just street parking or a pay lot, and that really has nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant anyway. Pros: great food, bar waiting area Cons: a little pricey more

Did not enjoy!!! 7/8/2005

You know i have to say i was dissapointed on my visit. I went with my boyfriend and felt ouw waiter was really rude to us. The drinks were fine, however the food was really hot for us, even though we ordered really mild. We felt really rushed out of the place i guess because it was their closing time, so they turned their music down and started dimming their lights. Overall, i think there are better Indian restaurants to eat than Bombay Grill. I really don't quite recommend it. Pros: Maybe Drinks Cons: Staff, Food, Service more
