I got carried away on the pluses, but that doesn't change the fact that Binks is a great neighborhood bar. It's locally owned and the proprietors are usually found behind the bar. The clientle is a nice mix of the Alberta St. crowd. You'll find musicians and contractors, artists and teachers knocking back beers waiting for the pool table to open up, or in front of the fireplace waiting for a break in the rain during the winter months. With it's attention to detail and personal touch on decor by the owners, Binks nurtures an enviroment that is friendly to the solo bar patron and the group of conversation minded friends. Great staff, great enviroment, and a nice jukebox. The only reason they don't get a ten is that they don't serve mix drinks. Someone else will have to rate the food. It looks good, but I've never tried it.
Pros: Locally Owned, Conversation, Neighborhood Bar
Cons: No Mixed Drinks
