Extremely poor customer service on special orders. Lord help you if Maria or one of her workers gets your order wrong.
I have been going to Maria's for years and decided to use the bakery for a special Christmas party. When I went to pick up my food, I noticed it was filled incorrectly. Maria personally did not want to accommodate and make it right. Her exact words were, ""I'm not going to make excuses"" nor did she offer an apology until I expressed how upset I was that I'm now in a bind. Even then, her apology seemed forced and insincere.
Yes, Maria's has good food. I'll give her that much. However, she is unreliable and could not care less about pleasing customers when she makes an error. If you need a special order, or an event catered, I would strongly recommend going to someone who takes responsibility for their actions and more importantly, makes customer service paramount. It is clearly NOT Maria's.
By the way, I ended up spending 40% MORE for a modified order that still was incorrect. This is only because I was in such a bind and had no time to go elsewhere. How is it that she can make a premium in her mistakes and feel good about it? Shame on you Maria!!
