Hutch's Body Shop, LLC

I don't know what some of the others are talking about but I took my 16 year old truck to Hutch's to get the rear bumper replaced on a Monday morning and it was finished by Noon on the same day. They even washed, waxed, and cleaned the interior without even asking. Maybe that's common but it was a nice surprise nonetheless. Hutch is business-like but very courteous. I definitely recommend Hutch's Body Shop. more

I have been to numerous shops in cedar park, TX. but none has stood out more than Hutch's Body shop. They informed me that my insurance company may not approve of paying the difference of the oem vs. aftermarket parts, but they were able to negotiate with my insurance to make it right. Dont be fooled by your insurance company, cause they told me that aftermarket parts would fit good but they dont. Hutch's was able to negotiate and i was not out of pocket, less my deductable. I was given a repair date of 5 days, but with the insurance company dragging their butt, it took 10. I was informed anytime Hutch's made contact with my insurance. My insurance company also informed me when additional costs were submited. The actual repair time took longer because my insurance took soo long to review the additional damaged parts. Hutch's informed me they could not order the additional parts until the insurance approved them, which added time to the repairs. All-in-All i was very happy with Hutch's, but not so happy with my ins. company. If you want youre vehicle repaired properly visit Hutch's, if you want it patched this would not be the shop for you. Overall opinion is very satisfied, i would recomend this shop because they made it their effort to make a proper repair for the saftey of my family, the ins. company wanted to cut costs and tried refusing quality parts. Just picked my Infiniti up and the repair job was Fantastic. Very friendly staff, Very good repair, Very good to do business with. Thanks Hutch's! I was very impressed with his receptionist and office decor. The estimate seemed fair, and was about the same cost as other estimates I had recieved. I was a little nervous about using Hutch's because they were not on My Insurance's "preferred list," but choose Hutch's for the repair based on my friends recomendation. WOW! What a great repair! Jay, one of the estimators at Hutch's, worked with my Insurance Company because additional damage was found. He negotiated the addtional repair cost, and also got me OEM parts for my Mazda. Go Jay! The repair delivery date had to be moved later than I expected but with the additional damage found I would rather have had my Mazda repaired correctly than just Slammed together. Thank you Hutch's for protecting my investment! Thank you Jay for looking out for my best interest and using Mazda Parts from Mazda! You want it done roght? Go to Hutch's!! Have to agree with riffraff98 and Texas36. I had a bad experience here as well. My insurance company recommended them, but I have since let them know not to send future business to Hutch's. My car was not ready on the promised date. The people were unfriendly. When I pointed out a scratch on the door that was not repaired, the blamed us and said that the scratch was pre-existing. They were especially rude and very short with my wife. I highly recommend that you look for other shops in town to do your work. I know I will. Well, had another accident. This time it was my husbands truck. Once again Thank you Hutch's for the best repair I could have ever gotten. Truck was cleaned after the repair, and you even dressed the tires & cleaned it up inside! Wow, my husband was really inpressed. It has been a month since the repair and my husband told me the truck still looks like new again. THANK YOU Hutch's and thanks to your wonderful staff! I was not impressed with anything relating to the service at Hutch's. I was told, guaranteed that my vehicle would be ready on a certain date. I informed them that I was going out of town and would need to cancel a trip in order to pick up the vehicle. They assured me again that it would be ready on that date. When I called the day before to check on the progress they acted like they had never made the prior call. I understand that there can be and often are delays in parts etc... that are outside the control of the body shop, but don't guarantee me that the parts are already in and everything WILL be completed by a certain date when you know for a fact that it is not true. more

Took my 2002 Dodge Van in here to get an estimate on rear bumper and hatch repair. I own an Engineering business in Cedar Park and am professional, which can be a rarity in this area of Texas. The owner performed an accurate quote & obviously knows what he's doing. Believe me, it was a great breath of fresh air to finally run into a "professional" body shop where you felt safe. Not alot of personality there, but at least the owner did a professional quote in a non-clumbsy way I experienced at other body shops. I didn't like that his body shop employees were sitting around outside the work area being loud and obvoxious when I pulled up. They definitely quieted down and went their separate ways when the owner & I walked outside to get the quote done. Just looked unprofessional & gave me an immediate feeling me & my insurance company were going to try to be taken for a ride. Owner is a big NASCAR fan, I being an Indy Race League (IRL) fan, so I struck up, or at least tried to strike up a coversation about racing, and love all his NASCAR models displayed across nearly the entire space of the walls. Quote finally came in about $600.00 higher than my lowest, with my lowest being from a dealership (don't ever take your car to a dealership to have it fixed). I've heard you pay for what you get in Auto Body repairs, but I wound up having to take it to the bloody dealership when I wanted to take it to Hutch's so bad. Hutch's probably only wants to work on cars that aren't rust buckets & wants to do the work themselves to make money, which is fine. There's only two body shops in this kind of Scheister area of Cedar Park, Lago Vista & Leander you can trust, Hutch's & Cedar Park Body & Frame, & Heritage (use Heritage as a last resort). My best friend had been in a horrible fender bender and I went with her to pick her car up after the repairs from Hutch's. I had seen the damage and her car was as good (if not better) than new...and they washed it. So, I ran into a deer early Sunday morning and that deer just about trashed the front left side of my car (keeping in mind I drive a 2005 Kia Rio) It took my side view mirror clean off, flattened the front left quarter panel, dented the hood, and cracked the windshield. The deer, as far as I know, lived because he got up and ran off. I couldn't even open my driver's door because the fender was so busted up. So, of course, I dropped my car off at Hutch's between two of my classes Monday afternoon. He took pictures of the damage, told us the estimate, went over the paperwork, had us sign what was necessary for my insurance claim, and our rental showed up. I wasn't even late for my next class. He had said it would be about 5-7 days for my car to be done, that alone was far less than what I had expected. Well, it's Friday and the phone call I got from Hutch's actually woke me up and they said my car would be ready for pick up this afternoon. They replaced the hood, the fender, the mirror, and the windshield. Hutch is very nice; I felt like I was talking with a friend instead of trying to execute a business deal, I couldn't thank him enough. My car was finished a lot faster than I expected and I couldn't be happier. Hutch will always be the first I go to in the case of future body repairs and will be the only repair shop I'd recommend to my friends. Looking at my car now, you would never guess that just a few days ago I had a face off with a big deer. Hutch's might be a good place to go if you're getting a brand new vehicle fixed, but don't take an older car or truck there. I took a 14 yr. old truck to them to have some replacements parts I'd already bought put on because I couldn't do it myself. Even though I'd already dropped over $600 on the parts, which were all the correct parts by the way, Hutch's refused to use them and instead gave me an estimate around $6000 on a $2000 truck. Obviously, they knew I wasn't going to accept this estimate therefore it seemed as though they just didn't want my business. As soon as I declined the repairs, Hutch informed me that I needed to come pickup my truck ASAP. When I went to pick it up they'd taken it out of their parking lot and parked it out by a dumpster. I then took it to another shop in Austin and had the work done for $290. All this over a simple dented in front bumper and grille assembly and a broken headlight. $6000 or $290? Seriously, why would you give someone an estimate that is $4000 more than the value of their vehicle? And then to park it by a dumpster? For some reason, I thought that by taking my truck to a shop in Cedar Park, I'd get a kind of small-town friendly service. Jeez was I wrong. It almost felt like I was at a body shop in Beverly Hills or something. They pretty much made me feel ashamed that my truck was old. Kind of like they didn't want to work on a vehicle that wasn't new. Anyway, just shop around, that's all I'm saying. And before buying the parts from the repair shop, try ordering them online. They were very easy to work with. The repair was great and still looks good after 2 years. They do what they say the do and do it in timely manner. I would highly recomend them for any body repairs and will go back. Pros: great job, friendly staff Cons: none more

I received my car on the exact date promised (which was very prompt), and it looked amazing! Not only was it fixed in top condition, but they go above and beyond to clean your car inside and out and make it look spectacular!
