STAY AWAY!! They ruined a pair of high quality leather pants that I had purchased at Neiman Marcus...and then would not accept ownership of the fact. They refused to reimburse me for them, saying that it must have been a flaw in the manufacturer's material. The manufacturer is well-respected Alice and Olivia. Beware of taking any quality clothing to Reid's.\r \r more

Reid's will ruin your clothing and call you a liar... 9/1/2010

I was a customer at Reid's for years. Periodically they would loose a shirt etc. No big deal. Then they destroyed a suit. I complained and they said tough luck. THEN, they said that I was lying and I was lying in orrder to con them out of a new suit. UNREAL!!!\r \r more

Just a RipOff 5/28/2008

First time tried this place:\r Yes, my dresses were clean; why wouldn't they be?\r Yes, they did not lose my items; it is an expectation...\r Yes, it was quick; I did not care.\r I paid $70 !!!!!!!!!!!!! for 6 items. My skirt was $10 to clean. I tiny linen skirt!!!! Some summer dresses were charged $12. I would expect no more then $8. \r The prices are not posted. It is a complete scam. I will never go back there.\r more

Friendly and Professional 8/28/2007

I usually take care of most of my laundry at home, however when going to a special event, or if I'm short on time, I'll take a shirt to be dry-cleaned or a pair of pants to be pressed. Every time I've been to Reid's they have been extremely friendly, always referring to me by my first name, and they are fast. The first time I went there I just needed to have a shirt pressed for an interview. They did it right away and didn't charge a thing! I've been a loyal customer ever since. Horrible- Ruined Slacks 7/7/2007

I brought in a pair of suit pants and they returned then to me horribly torn. At first they tried to blame the tear on me. Then they refused to replace or refund them?they even refused to apologize?buyer beware!!! Pros: ??? Cons: Poor service, frequently lost and ruined clothing & expensive more

Owner of Reids rude to customers 5/30/2007

I have been a long time customer until they ruined a pair of pants. Not only did they say it was not their fault..... Mr. Reid yelled at me on the phone when I questioned him about it. I will never go back and suggest the rest of Austin not support a man that says he has been in the business for 45 years yet treats long time customers like Dirt!!! more

Worth the cost 3/17/2006

After trying a few dry cleaning places in town, I have decided Reid's is worth every penny. The only place I would take expensive items like leather, fur, suits, ect. is Reid's. The care they give clothing is superb, and the service is bar none. Stains I have tried to get out at other places, always come out at Reids. My clothes always look and wear better after a trip to the cleaners, but the ALWAYS look better after a trip to Reid's. If you need somthing cleaned right and on time, go to REID's! Pros: Great cust. service, Knowledgable, Know Clothing! more

A bad deal 7/4/2005

I brought two men's tunics and two women's dresses into Reid's Cleaners & Laundry. I should have asked a price up-front but I didn't. When I returned to pick up the clothing I was charged a whopping $40.00!!! I argued with the employees long enough that they knocked off about $10.00 but $30.21 for two men's shirts and two dresses is still an astronomical price! I could not believe that these people were charging more than twice what everyone else was charging. Nor could I believe that they didn't post the prices anywhere for customers to see. Reid's Cleaners will not be receiving any repeat business from me and I would suggest that others find a different cleaning service as well. Cons: Extremely Expensive more
