Love them! 6/29/2011

Sad to see these reviews, and can't help but think that some of the discontent was brought on by patient attitude and expectations. They've been nothing but friendly and provided excellent care, and that was coming in in the middle of a lot of work that was started by the previous DMO provider who was awful. I witnessed an argument over billing while waiting for one appt and couldn't help but think two things - know your benefits, and pay your bill. That's the best way to avoid billing issues. more

Now Western Trails Dental 6/29/2010

I tried Western Trails Dental for the first time a few weeks ago. I'm going back soon for follow up because of my experience. Read below for details. \r \r It wasn't bad at all! The staff, whether new and revamped from a prior location, I don't know--or care. I got an appointment quickly, was greeted and welcomed as a new patient, was seen soon after my scheduled time, and was treated with respect. The hygienist (Amy?) was sweet and patient and made my experience stress free. And what more does one want, really? It was, by far, the most pleasant experience I've ever had at a dentist's office. \r \r What I learned is that sometimes you have to give people (businesses) the benefit of the doubt and rule them out on YOUR OWN experiences. Also, my (customer) attitude definitely influences the way I am treated. Pros: Friendly staff, online paperwork submission feature Cons: Small waiting room more

Staff worst than any bad dental pain........awfully pathetic 3/8/2010

A Co worker refered me in 2004. The young female Dr. worked on the wrong tooth and I couldn't tell till the numbing medicine wore off. No body in that office seemed suprised and the issue was resolved with my service being free and that's fair enough. I really thought it was an honest mistake. After apologising my Co worker then specified Dr. Krits, the male Dr. is the one she sees. He is good, at atleast he resolved the issue and took over my case gladly. I was just trying to belong but the front office was a joke. Rude and overbooking, they were awful. I found another Dentist. and completed my extensive work cheaper and much happier. Desprate for a quick dental service I tried them In 2010, am thinking with time we all grow......WORSE. Don't make a manager out of longetivity and a cute face, it takes more than that.....you know Brains, Pay a little more if that's what it will take. Am very forgiving but atleast admit your issues and don't explain your way out of it, awful I tell ya.\r Pros: 2 stars because of Krits Cons: No buisness acumen, pathetic problem solving skill more

River City Dental is terrible 9/15/2009

I waited 2 months for an appointment and they called 24 hours ahead of time and moved the time. I couldn't make it so I had to wait another month. At that time, they gave me wrong directions which caused me to be 10 minutes late. then they had me fill out online paperwork and said I should have done it before. I told them no one ever mentioned that the paperwork could be filled out online ahead of time. Finally, they had a look at my mouth but no cleaning. I asked why not and they said there wasn't enough time. I said I specifically asked if it would include a cleaning and they said that everyone had to go to a meeting. So they scheduled me for a cleaning next week. Well, I got layed off and lost my dental benefits during that week. I asked them to honor the co-pay since they have caused all of the delays. They said it was not their fault that I got lost and didn't fill out the paperwork ahead of time. Maybe the health care system has beaten them down but that is the only slack i'll give them. They just don't care about you over there. DON'T GO TO RIVER CITY DENTAL! Pros: never saw any Cons: take no accountability for actions and don't care about cust more

Please avoid at all costs! 5/5/2009

After waiting 3 months to finally be seen and having my appt rescheduled, I went in at 7:45- the soonest time that was available. They took exrays- including a panaramic exray which is usually not necessary unless you are at the orthodontist! I can only assume they just want to bill my insurance money for everything possible. Then, about an hour into my appt, they finally took my bpressure (never had this done in a dental appt) and the pressure was a little high. I tried to explain to them that it tends to be high and I am seeing a medical professional who is not concerned with this, but they refused to continue and wanted me to take more time out of my work schedule to come in again. Hello- you are a dentist! What makes you think you have more knowledge than my own medical specialist?! I will be calling my insurance company today to explain the issue and let them know about the extra exray's!!! Pros: None, maybe a pretty fish tank in waiting room. Cons: Long wait time for appt, cancelled appts, too many.... more

Truly Awful 3/25/2009

It is pretty much impossible to get an appt here. And when you do, they will call and cancel it anyhow. They are totally rude. It's a sham of a business Pros: Good Hygentist Cons: Everything else more

Avoid at all costs 9/8/2008

This is an awful dentist's office. Appointments are very hard to get, yet they continue to accept new patients. I schedule a June 2008 appointment in December of 2007. I showed up for my appointment only to be told it was canceled. The next availablility they had was in September! They put me on a ""Cancelation list"" but never called me. According to the office staff, they randomly choose people to call every time there's a cancelation, with no rhyme or reason to who they choose. My September 2008 appointment came and they canceled that one. The next appointment was in MARCH 2009!!! Thus, I would finally see the dentist 15 MONTHS after I made my initial appointment. Ridiculous. The front office staff were rude and unapologetic. Don't go here. Cons: Appointment availability, office staff more

Inconsiderate of my time 8/4/2008

I've been going there for about a year. Front desk service is a bit slow, when you're done. Weird that after you're done, you often have to sit for 5-10 minutes to pay.\r But now much worse. a month ago I get a call the day before my 6 mos check-up, saying that the hygienest isn't available. They rescheduled me for a month later. then I call to reconfirm this appt and found that the gal is NOT available again. I don't know if they were going to call me. As it stands, I'm waiting to see if they can fit me in sometime today. And I'm going on 8 months between cleanings. more

Inefficiently managed 1/10/2008

I was very frustrated with the management of the office. My wait to be called back wasn't terrible -- about 20 minutes. However, it took about 45 minutes to get all of my x-rays. My appointment was at 10:45, but I didn't see the dentist until noon. The dentist herself seemed okay. The most irritating part was that I had to wait for more than 20 minutes to pay. I don't think I've ever had to sit in a waiting room to pay! The office staff seemed highly annoyed that I was dissastified with having to wait to pay. Overall, my experience was not good and I don't plan on returning. My time was not valued. Pros: X-Rays immediately available on in-office computer Cons: Inefficient with time, harried office staff, crowded waiting area more
