Horrible Customer Service 3/29/2011

The grief counselors here are terrible. I would not recomend this place to anyone. We ended up getting a different funeral home to handle my dad's funeral. But we had to look around at A LOT of different funeral homes before we picked one, and this one was by far the worst of all the ones that we talked to. more

Grand View Funeral Home - Compassionate, Attentive to detail and Accommadating to all our wishes. 6/5/2008

The ?Dignity Memorial - Grand View Funeral Home?, were compassionate and attentive to detail in handling my daughter's funeral and where accommodating to all of our wishes. Each of the staff was kind, efficient and understanding. Because the tragic accident was in another city 200 miles away, my daughter?s remains where cremated at ?Dignity Memorial ? Funeral Home?, in that city. I had the honor of bringing my daughter?s remains home. Grand View assisted us in planning every aspect of the memorial, from the online memorial to personalizing the funeral service. The memorial service was larger then expected and Grand View staff handled the service at the funeral home and cemetery, for our daughter beautifully. I would recommend them to anyone. Pros: Were compassionate, attentive to detail and accommodating to all of our wishes more

Great customer service 3/2/2008

The Grand View Funeral Home handled my daughter's funeral and bent over backwards to accomodate all of our wishes. Each of the staff assigned to us were kind, attentive, and efficient. I am so happy we chose them to help us get through a difficult time. The Grand View staff handled a very large church memorial service for our daughter beautifully, as well as the services held at the funeral home and cemetery. I would recommend them to anyone. I look forward to working with their staff in choosing a headstone. I'm sure the customer service will be just as good. Pros: Efficient, Friendly, Beautiful Setting, Helpful, Accomodating more

Poor customer service 1/2/2008

Grandview Funeral Home handled both of my parents services, approximately three years apart. The building was decorated nicely, with plenty of room for mourners and family. I must say that the body preparation of each of my parents was expertly done, and they both looked as though they were sleeping. The chapel is a large room with plenty of seating, and I noticed also had a screen with media equipment, although we did not incorporate that in either our services. The organ, piano, were in an adjoining room and the sound was beautiful. The three stars are because of poor customer service to the adjoining family. The grief counselor made the family wait to view my mother until the grandson arrived (who made the arrangements), only leaving us approximately ten (10) minutes to say our final goodbyes before the guests were allowed in the viewing room. I wanted to find out the arrangements for my mother's burial in another city so my family could make decisions as to who was traveling and called the funeral home, and had to leave a message with the grief counselor. There was no return call at all. (We found out later that Grandview indicated it only has a legal obligation to the person making the arrangements and not to any other famiy member.) And the third reason Grandview gets three stars is because my father was over one hour late to his own burial. If you want to take a chance on the customer service... Pros: Exceptional handling of the body, and calming atmosphere Cons: Poor people skills more
