Not so good 2/28/2012

Service was not good. She didn't know how to deal with people or didn't care. Long time waiting for salad and bread. Then the food came, meat was overcooked and dry. Pasta was dry even though it was originally ordered with "extra sauce". Orders were obviously being cooked before our salad was delivered. She wanted to grab the salad off the table and we were still eating it. It wasn't crowded, or I'd have thought she needed to seat someone else. I was figuring out the bill and tip and hadn't even put the money into the little folder when she came and asked for it while she was grabbing the money off the table. I waited a while to see if I would get a receipt for my records and to report my experience, but it didn't come. Pros: null Cons: null more

OG is slipping 10/30/2010

When served fresh, the food is good. The last 3 times we have been to Olive Garden in Waxahachie we have had less than satisfactory results. Each time (which has been at a meal time) they tell us the bread is in the oven and they will bring it out as soon as it is ready. However, it always comes after our meal has come out and not when they bring the salad. The last time we were there the salad came out when the meal came out. The last time we had a party of 6 and 3 meals came out and we had to ask for the other 3 which came out with cripsy spaghetti due to sitting under the heat lamp so long. OG was great when they opened but have steadily slipped since they opened. As one of the highest priced eateries in town, this isn't acceptable. I will think twice before going back. more

Adequate, but not outstanding 5/19/2010

My husband and I went here about 6 weeks ago to try something new. We know many couples who eat here on a regular basis and, although Italian is not our favorite cuisine, we thought it would be good to try. When we walked in, we were very pleased with the design and decoration of the interior; nice lighting created a warm, inviting ambience, and we felt very comfortable sitting there. The menu choices were a little disappointing - it seems too many business are trying to make their little menus sound like cable network food shows - but we each found a dish we thought sounded good. The wait staff could have been more attentive and friendly, and we waited much too long between times for our server to see if we had any needs. The cashier was unfriendly, and obviously doesn't like her job (and that projected onto the customers). When the food came, it looked very good and we were eager to try it. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was little better than Chef Boyardee, and for $14.99 per entree, I expected better, frankly. I had the fettucini alfredo, and my husband had the lasagna. We had heard and read good reviews about both dishes. We actually enjoyed the bread more than the meal. Although I wouldn't give it a bad review, I doubt we will ever go back. Pros: Nice ambience, clean tables Cons: Food is just not that appealing or plentiful more
