I love cars. I'm very picky about my car work. I demand that my inspection stickers be straight, that there be no grease anywhere inside, and that they do the work properly. I'm not the kind of guy that throws someone the keys to my car and blindly believe that they will fix it - shops seldom do. Often times I'll tear something apart once I get home, just to see if they did the work that I paid for... its sad how rarely I'm impressed.
Today, I was blown away when I met Anthony and William at Manny's Muffler shop. I don't say this very often, nor do I say it lightly - Anthony and William are both some of most honest and hard-working guys I've met.
The shop isn't pretty - but its a REAL mechanics shop. Its a bit dirty and run down - but if it were clean and slick I wouldn't think it was authentic. They do the work as quickly as they can, they don't mind you watching while they work... they're even happy to explain everything they're doing. They're totally transparent with nothing to hide - its astonishing how refreshing of an experience this was.
They do the work as promised, they seem to love cars - and the customers I see coming and going love these guys. I would not hesitate to send my mother or even my grandmother to this place. I cannot recommend them enough.
Pros: Honest, Fair Price, easy to find
Cons: A bit run down, old-school
