Arvell Moore Air Cond Heating

I had this company install a new ac unit. Turns out they put in the wrong size drip pan therefore causing a leak in my ceiling which caused so much damage. I was polite and understood that things happen but the amount of time it took to get service and my ceiling fix was RIDICULOUS. A year later and there is ANOTHER leak in my ceiling in the same place. They were supposed to send someone the following day and said they would call if they couldn't make it. Surprise, surprise no call and no one showed up. It is now day 4 and my appointment was made for 2-4 pm which I only found because I had to call them to check on my appointment. I have tried calling for the last hour since they are now an hour late to see if anyone is even coming because I do believe I just wasted a day's pay to wait for the WORST service ever. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. It is so not worth the effort and the stress that they will put you through. more

Arvell Moore did a total ac replacement on our house to the tune of $23,000. They did a horrible job, we now have mold back again, they made a big dent in the back of one of the units, they have never come out to service the units, they never completed the job and the worst part of this is that they will not return our phone calls and we have even threatened them with a law suit. DON'T EVER USE THEM. more

Let me start by saying NEVER trust Arvell Moore AC & Heating. Dont take my word for it, go check out their BBB rating yourself. Long story short, I agreed to an install from Arvell Moore... gave them MY HARD EARNED MONEY, and the owner took my money, spend it... and never installed my new equipment. This whole experience has just made me sick, and I dont want to get all into my personal experience... I just want to get the word out there to consumers, dont ever trust Arvell Moore AC & Heating. My main complaints are two: they used my credit card to pay their suppliers/subcontractors without my permission and the insulation supplied does not meet the standards printed on the bags of material. The office help does not seem to connect with the supervisor nor with the assigned workers. They tried to charge a different price (oddly lower than the contract) when the first insulation was done; I asked to see my signed contract: they do not have it. They returned after I stopped payments on my credit card. Three weeks of headache and substandard insulation. I feel the office is out of control. No problems in 2009. To Whom It May Concern: February 19, 2010 Martin and his crew from Arvell Moore in LaPorte, recently installed an entirely new ac/heating system (including duct work) in my EI Lago home. They arrived on time, in fact actually 15 minutes early, for the job, which is rare in my experiences. They were careful to cover all carpets and flooring wherever they would be traveling. They were very polite and professional at all times. They answered all my questions courteously, taking time to explain how the system worked. They worked the entire day and into the evening so that my family would be comfortable for the night. Tony, Tony and Tony, three great workers from the crew even removed two dead and very stinky critters from a tight crawl space in my attic! When finished, they cleaned up their mess and removed all the old debris. I highly recommend Martin and his crew for any of your heating or air-conditioning needs. During the final week of July 2008, my wife and found the need for the services of a responsive and reliable air conditioning contractor. Our first contact was ‘cold’. I got the number from the yellow pages. I don’t recall the young lady’s name that answered but she was very courteous and helpful. She took our number and said that Doug would return the call within 15 minutes. He called back well within the 15 minutes envelope. After discussing our needs he offered some suggestions. We wanted to actually see the brand being offered so Doug arranged for us to come by the office in LaPorte and for Anita to help us until he arrived. She pointed out equipment that would be representative of what we were considering along with a running commentary on the quality of the Arvell Moore Organization. She was extremely helpful and furnished information which was very influential in our decision to purchase the system that we did. On his arrival, Doug covered various other items: warranty extension to 10/10/10 years on everything, that having an annual inspection/tune up would extend the labor portion of the warranty on a year by year basis for up to ten years. Service calls are available in our area. Doug said that the day after we committed we would have the cooling by the end of the day. No fibs here, just performance as promised! This leads to my most recent contact with Arvell Moore. Martin led the installation team. This man and his crew were punctual, professional and friendly. They kept the work area clean and picked up. People knew where things were. They didn’t have to hunt for parts or tools (no trips back to the shop.) Although he was also working, Martin was constantly aware of what the rest of his crew was doing. With the work ethic, they demonstrated, they will be able to “run a crew” sometime soon. This system has been operating for approximately 10 days at this point. It will be interesting to see how “kWh used compare to the past. David and two workers checked my old unit and found several leaks. They then installed a new 3 ton condenser and compressor at my home on today’s date. I would like to commend these workers in that they were very professional in their work and performed all tasks in a timely manner.
