Great vet 3/4/2013

I was very impressed with this vet. The waiting room was clean and the wait was not long. My dog is kinda skittish so Dr Rowe sat on the ground and did the exam so my Rosa didn't have to stand on the table. She also explained everything she was feeling for during the exam which I have never had a vet do. I found the staff to be very helpful and polite. I was very impressed with the clinic and the prices and will continue to take my dog there. more

Absolutely the Best!!! 10/27/2011

Dr. Rowe and her office are absolutely great! Yes, they are busy all of the time. However, I would not go anywhere else. My dog was at the ER clinic over night, I showed up on the doorstep at 7:30 am and they took him without an appointment and called me during the day to keep me updated. Dr. Rowe is honest and straight forward about the care of our pets. She is also priced very reasonably. \r \r Thank you Dr. Rowe and your staff!!!!!! more

Place is rude, stinks and no one knows whats going on. 6/1/2011

For starters, appointments are set WAY in advance. If there is an emergency or your animal is suddenly needing care w/in the next week, forget it. Anytime you call, you WILL be placed on hold and the people are VERY rude. We used this vet to have our animals fixed because our vet was extremely expensive. The office just smells of urine and honestly, i was afraid to sit down in the waiting room. One receptionist is very friendly and helpful, everyone else I have ever talked to is not. I did call and get a male surgical tech and he was great! However, that does not make up for their lack of organization. It is important they know exactly what is going on with every animal. I was told when I dropped my dog off he would have to have teeth pulled as well as getting fixed. When we picked him up, no one knew he had teeth pulled. It was not on his chart or any other documentation. Shouldnt they note this somewhere!?!? I know shifts change etc, but all techs etc should know what is going on more

Zero compassion - Can't do attitude 4/14/2011

We were doing OK with routine appointments. However, this vet didn't do much (anything!) to treat our elderly dog's geriatric conditions. When our pet got pneumonia and became unable to walk, we rushed to the emergency clinic, and were instructed to follow up with Dr. Rowe. The folks at the front desk had zero compassion or concern, and seemed rather scornful at our attempts to try to see Dr. Rowe. They spent all their time telling us what they COULD NOT do, instead of offering suggestions for how to get our dog in to the vet, and they asked nothing about our pet's actual condition nor did they express any concern. \r \r When we called back to follow up, we had the exact same experience. Zero concern or compassion, and it was all about what they couldn't do with no suggestions about what they could do.\r \r We'll be getting a new vet, one who cares and has staff that cares. These folks are cold as ice. more

Thanks to Dr. Rowe and her Team! 3/26/2011

Thanks to Dr. Rowe and her team, my cat was diagnosed with a bladder infection and given a small, odorless, tasteless pill, which I easily ground up and put in a small dab of canned food. He ate it right up! 9 more days and his infection will be cured! He has probably worn all the pads off his feet covering pee in his litter box, poor thing! Their vet techs are professional and Dr. Rowe herself called me to tell me what she found out! Wonderful vet. more

Don't want to share, but she is the best 3/20/2011

I couldn't possibly say enough good things about Dr. Rowe. Over the last 7 years+ she has treated my minagere of cats and dogs, as well as a few I was caring for. She is very knowlegeable and able to communicate medical info. so that I can understand it, and make good decisions. We have had to put two dear pets down due to serious health issues...She and her staff have always been compassionate and caring, and helped us with that very difficult decision.\r \r Her office has always been clean and staff helpful, but if you are too late for your appointment you may have to rescedule. Seriously, if it's not a life or death situation and you are late and the doctor is extremely busy...what do you expect? Even if there isn't a client in the waiting area I gaurantee you Dr. Rowe is working late...she calls you back after hours; lets people droff off their pets to be examined and run tests when they have no available appointments, but you really need something checked on your baby. Then, she wi more

Nazi Aninal Clinic 3/15/2011

WARNING: if you are not a perfect person, do not bother to make an appointment at this clinic. Although I left my house (in Bedford) at 3:15 for a 3:30 appointment, I was unable to locate the clinic and arrived at 3:40. TEN MINUTES LATE!! After going through all the trouble to get my dog there on time,I was told to reschedule! \r \r The Nazi at the front desk couldn't have cared less, even when I explained that I have trouble remembering things, and although no one else was waiting. \r \r So don't you dare be late or imperfect in any other way, or your animal can just do without care as far as these fine folks are concerned. more

Dr Rowe is AWESOME!!!!! 3/11/2011

Dr. Rowe was reffered to by a friend, and we Love her we have a siberian husky dog and she has had some issues with stomach issues and gastro problems, and anywhere you would have gone would of charged a arm and a leg to make the dog better. Awesome vet 1/28/2011

I live next to white rock lake and went to Dr Rowe after Hillside vetinary clinic said my 7 yr old bull mastiff needed eye surgery and it was going to be 875.$.A friend set me up with Dr Rowe my bullmastiff had already had eye surgery once they said it wasn't done correctly(after 6 Years of seeing her).Dr Rowe was awesome explain about dry eye syndrome with bull mastiff and performed a litmus test ended up this was the problem.Gave me drops to give her also found out that she had already had lost alot of her vision but had learned her surroundings so well we didn't know it.She instantly became my vet from that point on.A year later my Bully fell ill and had to be put to sleep they were very kind and compassionate. It's a 45 min drive from my house to see her but well worth it.You can't put a price on honesty and compassion. more

Great vet and new front staff 9/19/2010

I love Dr. Rowe because she really cares about our pets. One of our dogs is very skittish and Dr. Rowe knelt down on the floor with me to examine my dog instead of insisting my dog be lifted onto the exam table. Dr. Rowe is also willing do have customers drop off their dogs and see the dogs between appointments if the customer is not able to book an appointment soon. In addition, there have been several front desk and vet assistant changes for the better. As for the previous comment about the place being dirty, it isn't, it's is just in an older part of town and the furniture is well loved. I wouldn't put a new couch in a vet's office anyway. more

Dr. Rowe is definitely World Class 8/11/2010

Dr. Rowe is an exceptional vet, and I've never had a single bit of trouble with her office. Her recommendations have always been spot on and honest, especially when it came time to have an old companion put down for safety reasons. Her fees are very reasonable, and you will be doing yourself and your four legged family members a great service seeing her. more

One of the best ever! 7/26/2010

This is the best Vet I ever had in my 60 years of seeing Vets! The office is not fancy but she knows what she is doing and she loves here patients. She helped my dog a couple of times with natural inexpensive cures. Her rates are reasonable as well. What more could you ask for? Reasonable rates for one of the best in the business! more

Dr. Rowe is Great! 6/28/2010

Dr. Rowe is one of the best Vets around, she has been my vet about 4 years now and I have no complaints about her or the techs. Also, she is one of the most fair and understanding with fees. I have a friend who is mostly broke and they have cut his fees by 50% or more for emergency services and regular services!\r To the people who are complaining, I am betting you didn't even try to resolve your situation with Dr. Rowe in person. more

Thank you Dr. Rowe 6/6/2010

I"m 58 years old and have had numerous animals and numerous Vets, from Louisiana to Texas where we now live.\r \r I have NEVER in my life had such a wonderful Veterinarian! She has cared for my cat and dog in a caring and professional way, and for my sister's animals, too. Professionally, reasonably priced, kindly and compassionately, and with skill and expertise.\r \r Recently, we had to euthanise my dog of 20 years. Dr. Rowe returned my call one evening after closing time and we discussed the matter.\r \r I can not tell you how kind and compassionately the whole thing was handled. A soft doggie blanket and a box of tissues were on the exam table.\r \r Before the trip to the Vet we gave my sweet little old lady a tranquilizer to help her not be afraid or apprehensive on the trip to the Vet. \r \r We were taken straight back so we wouldn't have to wait in the lobby for this sad task. She was given a sedative injection so she would not be aware of even the Vet's presence. \r \r After some tim more

Wonderful Veterinarian 11/29/2008

Dr. Rowe is an AMAZING Veterinarian. No, the clinic is not the cleanest I've ever seen but it is an ANIMAL clinic. Some messes are to be expected. Dr. Rowe is very caring and only does the work that needs to be done. She doesn't push anything that is not necessary and charges less than any other clinic. It's obvious that she isn't in this industry for the money, but for her love of animals. I would recommend her to anyone. Pros: Excellent Vet., affordable pet care. Cons: Not the neatest office, but understandable. more

An excellent vet 11/22/2008

I was in search for a great vet who didn't necessarily believe in vaccinations every year. So in late October, I went to Bedford Oaks Animal Clinic with my two collies and my newly acquired cat. I found Dr. Marilyn Rowe to be very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. She answered all of my questions with thoughtful answers. And her prices are very reasonable. I believe I found a very good veterinarian with Dr. Rowe! Thank you more

Awesome and caring vet! Dr. Rowe rocks! 11/18/2008

I have been going to Dr. Rowe for 20 years, w/numerous cats and dogs. She is always compassionate towards my ?kids? and me ? always takes time to explain everything! I have referred all my family and friends to her and have never heard anything negative from anyone. Would recommend her and her talented staff to anyone and everyone. Very fair and reasonable ? could not ask for a better vet!!! I personally appreciate the fact that she occasionally has to stop accepting new patients; therefore giving her exiisting patients the time and care they need. more

Great vet 10/7/2008

Thanks for great service to all pets. Reasonable and great service.\r Would recommend to everyone. Compassionate and reasonable. Staff is very kind and caring. more

Great Vet 9/19/2008

Dr. Rowe, and her staff are the best.I have an aging Collie Mix, and she has survived Cancer now for close to two years. I really believe that the reason she made it was due to the way Dr. Rowe handled her case and cared for her for two days before sending her to a surgeon. She was kept on an IV, and giving antibiotics and was hydrated before surgery. And survived Post Op @ 13 or 14 years of age that is a big deal. She has since taken care to help me keep my old dog as happy as she can be. more

Good Vet--BAD front desk service 8/20/2008

Hated to have to find a different Vet for my dogs, but the front desk service (employees) was very bad. I was late 5 minutes to my appointment, but the receptionists kept answering phones, talking with people that were leaving after their appointments, that by the time they checked me in it was already 15 minutes later. Then after waiting 40 minutes I was told that I had arrived late (15 minutes) and that I would have to reschedule. \r I didn't want to argue with them so I left. \r The place is really dirty, but I was willing to put up with it because the doctor was really good and caring. \r This just pushed me to find a different place -- clean --- to take my dogs. Pros: Great Doctor--caring and professional Cons: Very dirty office & office Staff very slow to help clients!! more
