I'm local to Dallas and visited the topless side several times in 2009. There was always different crew of women (I think it is safe to assume turnover is high at all strip clubs). Quality of the dancers was variable with an impressive presence of top quality on some occasions, disappointing quality on other occasions. There was a high percentage of exotics on the most recent visits.
Cover was $5 on my visits, beer prices were about what you would expect for a gentlemen's club (not excessive), and the outside self-parking is well-lit and always sufficient (although somewhat offset from the club itself). The club itself has dark atmosphere. I usually sat at the downstairs bar. Bartenders were responsive.
I liked the business style of the dancers. You won't be overly propositioned, but a few will usually ask if you're looking for company. Lap dances are hands-on and you can get good value. The only other Dallas gentlmen's club I have visited is Baby Dolls. Baby Dolls is larger, brighter, and (on my one visit) did have a good crew of dancers.
Overall, I would say Cabaret Royale is a good middle tier club, a scene where I felt safe and the prices are not excessive.
Pros: Nice club, no hassles
Cons: Variable quality dancers
