Hello all my name is Jason c. from Louisiana and i'm 33 i went too NorthTexasJobcorp center in Mckinney Texas way back in 2000. Those were the best times in my life besides being bullied and picked on. I'm trying too find other people that have shared the class of 2000 with me. . I'm looking for a guy name Mario that was in dorm 7b with me and a guy name vinney at that time. Mario if you're out there please get incontact with me . I miss you and thank you for standing up for me when i was too weak. YOU might remember that i wasusually around a black girl plus size name rachel we would allways eat together for breakfast in the mornings and you would come sit with us and that you would allyways like have an orange and after you eat you would have too floss your teeth. I'm sorry that i never called you or anything but i have searched for you over the years. I""m the one who is a pattilabelle fanatic remember and you liked rochelle farell remember if you're reading this. The last time we spoke is when we all were going home for the christmas break and you were'nt coming back too campus and it was hard without you therebecause Mario when you hugged me it was too tight like a goodbye forever hug and i'm here too tell you i think of that everyday and i have so many things too talk about. Mario it has been over 12 yrs and i don't know if you're ok or ,married, or still single but if you are my soul mate i want too find out . I am going to put a high rating on this facility but the remark is to the person who posted is EVERYTHING IS GOOD BUT ONE PERSON, who was rude. Now I don't take these types of reviews seriously as they did not list why this man was rude, what he was rude about. Did he not explain the program, did he not give them information ? The person who wrote this son or daughter probably could not qualify and they were anger. Angry reviews do not contribute much as they do not tell people specifically what to avoid. I wish people who want to write a negative review would go back to the basic writing skills, who what, how, when so the reviews could have merit. It is sad that they take the time to write so emotionally, the are not taken creditably. more

My daughter attended the facility in McKinney a little over 10 years ago, I was skeptical at first but am very glad we made the decision. I would recommend the program to anyone. Pros: Successful more

I want to thank each and every staff that is associated with North Texas (Mckinney) Job Corps. Wonderful and caring staff that are on top of all situations. You have really impressed me as a mother I was a little leery of the program. You all proved me very wrong. It was rather difficult for my son the first week, learning the program and adapting to new students. It is a very structured environment with minimal discipline and rules that are enforced in a positive way. My son had completed the training and is doing well. On weekends when he comes home to visit he is normally ready to get back to the facility before his scheduled time. I want to thank all staff for their hard work, efforts, organization, enforcing of rules, and the structured enviroment that was available for my son. This the most positive program I have observed. North Texas Job Corp shows great concern for each child at the facility. The staff are concern with the student success and allows them to be the best that they can be. I want to personally thank all of the staff at the North Texas Job Corp along with Dan Predo Dallas Texas office (Admissions) and Mr. Cornish who informed me yesterday of my sons progress there at the facility. I am so grateful and overwhelmed with the program and would highly recommended it to the next young individual who wants to succeed in life. Young people what you bring in the program you will get out of this positive program. It is really designed to help you achieve your success in life. I know Mr Toomer at a personal and professional level. We worked together when I was admissions counselor for Job Corps and always found him to be very professional, caring, compassionate and ready to help those who needed and wanted the help. We have remained in contact as I continue to work with youth at risk. When a young person comes to his office and he determines they are not eligible for his program, he goes out of his way to recommend or refer the youth to another agency. He has also done presentations for my company and know for a fact that he works even after office hours to help the youth turn their lives around.\r \r Now, he is a man of integrity and do not expect him to lie for you, cover up for you or put your child in the program just because you as a parent thinks that's what's best for your child. \r \r more

The Chicano Luncheon has met twice a month for 16 yrs. We invite speakers to address our group of 25-35 persons. I've know Mr. Toomer for 2+ yrs. In that time he has been a professional in every sense of the word. I've personally seen him speak to young adults and make a difference in their lives. \r \r After he addressed our luncheon, the community responded by seeking his help and by participating in his program. Mr. Toomer is a blessing to the young adults of North Texas. \r \r Job Corps is a good program but, folks like Mr. Toomer make it successful!! Pros: Thumbs Up!! Cons: Not enough locations more

My wife just pulled this (lie) up and showed it to me and I am appalled that ""this person"" (because I know who it is) would stoop to such a low level as to try to slander my reputation simply because I did my job. This is a first. Does one simply pray for the person or take them to court for slander? I will pray for them. more

I would recommend Job corps., but not Clarence Toomer, Addmissions Counselor in Fort Worth. He is the rudest person and should not be working with people that want their kids to be successful. Pros: DO NOT work with Clarence Toomer... Cons: Everything about Job Corps. is great except for the Admiisions Counselor. more
