I've never written an online review in my life....but after my move out experience with the woodlands of columbia, I felt obligated to. I was billed $900 for the most ridiculous reasons. I was charged $200s for a missing pull string on a fan. They charged me $75 in trash charges with no evidence. Most of what they charged me for could simply be fixed by painting the apartment. I was a two year resident here and and extremely disappointed with how they handled my move out process.\r I recommend living closer to town...I am currently living at Canalside Apartments on Taylor street and am very pleased with my experience (plus I am in a much better location). more

Probably the worst Place to live in columbia, moved in august 2012 only to be told that there was a design flaw in my unit so my ac didn't work. They didn't fix the ac, instead they gave me tv to borrow during the time of my lease. They have a tendency to give outrages utility bills. In a 3 person unit how on earth is it possible for the unites to come to $400 for a 30 day period when i don't even have a/c to use?? its ridiculous. If that isn't enough for you, I hope you like roaches because they're everywhere... and i mean everywhere. The kitchen, the bathrooms, the living room, you name it. And finally if that isn't enough, the other day i walked into my room, which i keep very clean being that i have ocd, and found rat poop and pee on one of my shelves. All in all, this is probably the worst place to live, the pool is okay but nothing special, and definitely not worth the $500-$600 monthly rent plus and insane utilities. more

Extremely nice apartments! Shuttle runs to campus and back so I never have to pay to park. Shower drain got clogged and they had a guy out within a few hours to fix it. Definitely living here again more

Does The Woodlands offer a shuttle service to Williams Brice for home football games? more

Absolutely horrible. The management is evil. I subleased an apartment here for the summer so I would have somewhere to live during my internship. I arrived on a Saturday and expected to settle everything then. I was told that a manager was not there (yet the office was open) and I was missing a crucial piece of paperwork (that they never sent to me) and I would not be able to sign a lease until after Monday, when the manager was able to send the paperwork (a guarantor form to my father, required despite the fact I was only paying for one month, up front, and by myself) and oversee the signing of the lease. I left them with my father's name and email and moved into the apartment anyways, (technically not allowed) because I had driven from California and had no other place to stay. more

Love this place! 9/22/2011

I have just moved in here and I have to say that i love it! The apartments are really nice along with the clubhouse. They even have a MOVIE THEATER! I also like the fact that they have a shuttle to campus and 5 points. My roommates and I really enjoy living here! more

LOVED It! 9/22/2011

I lived at another apartment complex prior to the Woodlands and I am WAY happier. In the past it took maintenance FOREVER to come. Even to fix the smallest things such as a air filter. At the Woodlands they have an online maintenance thing where you can put in your issue and maintenance will come that very same day. I love the fact I can use the bus to and from campus because parking is super expensive. Not to mention it takes you to and from five points also!! I loved my apartment and it felt like my home away from home. My parents even joked about how they wanted to move here themselves, ha-ha. more

Great year here 9/22/2011

I lived here for a year before going abroad (I wish I could have stayed longer!). I liked living at woodlands because I never had a problem getting to/from school or even the football games because the stadium is RIGHT there. Every couple weeks they would have cookouts and pool parties so that made it really fun,t oo. There is a bus that took us to 5pts which was super convenient to not have to get a cab. One time my tub wouldn't drain and the guy came to fix it the same afternoon (never had that kind of service anywhere). All around, I really liked living there and I'd tell all my friends to live there. more

DO NOT LIVE HERE 6/5/2011

Since the day I moved in I had problems getting along with my roommates the only thing management told me I could do is pay an additional $150.00 and move into another apartment. I ended up moving in with even worse people who did things i specially said I did not want in my lease not to mention it took me going in there everyday for almost two months to even get to talk to a manager and be able to move out. Throughout the entire time living there I learned that the managers will take ever cent you have and are impossible to get a hold of if there is any sort of problem. Also even though the apartments are only a few years old the floors already have dents from the furniture and the beams in the town homes are starting to bow out. They put the cheapest quality in the apartments and charge you top dollar for normal wear and tear from living in them for a year. The people here are extremely unprofessional and lie to get you in a lease that you cannot get out of! more

Don't do it 11/9/2010

I was suppose to move in to The Woodlands August of 2010. I went and toured the community and filled out an application. The leasing agent said that I needed to come back sometime and sign a lease within 30 days to take advantage of their special. I asked him, ""If I sign the lease and something comes up and I have to cancel, will I be able to?"" He replied, ""Yes that is no problem we just have you sign the lease within 30 days of applying so that it is taken care of."" I signed the lease in April and had to cancel a few days after signing the lease. The manager spoke with me and explained that I would owe over $3000 to cancel the lease. I explained to her what her leasing agent told me and she said he was correct that I could cancel but it comes at a price. WOW!!!!! Tiny detail the leasing agent did not mention to me. Of course, I hired an attorney and don't owe them anything but they really tried to screw me. My friends that live at The Woodlands say that they always go over their ""free utilities"" cap, what a joke, and have been charged so many ridiculous fees. Save money and time and go somewhere else. more
