My hear is broken, my lovey buddy Peeves the cat was mauled by a dog. An accident I will never forget. There were no open wounds but I knew he was hurt badly. I was hysterical so brought him to Wolfchase Animal Hospital. I trusted them as we been with them for a year for routine vaccinations. I later found Vet didn't even arrive until 30-45 min after they opened I was told to leave him there all day for observation, they said they'd call me right after he was seen. An hour and a half went by and nothing..i'm pacing, I called and as I was being patronized by the reception, she told me the doctor is getting to it and they would call me. Another hour goes by and I finally get a male friend to call to talk to the doctor for answers. He claims to have ""palpitated"" his abdomen, everything is fine, he is only bruised. When I went to pick him up I reminded them that my baby had been attacked and shaken by a dog but I was repeatedly reassured he was fine. I got my kitty home and when I got him out of his carrier I discovered his wounds had not even been cleaned and he had a horrible smell of distress and urine. I gave him antibiotics and let Peeves rest and tried my best to care for him. Second day...My baby is bleeding from what looks like his privates. I run back to the vet so sad and scared that my baby is injured inside. Dr Stephen Rea insisted that Peeves was only bruised. He said that peeves was bleeding from a cut even when I said it looks like it had the direction of his urine on his fur. I said..he can't walk, he cries out in pain, he's acting so unusual, i'm scared. He just said here's some pain medication..I assure you have a ""completely healthy kitty"". I went home but could not sleep I felt my buddy needed more but tried to trust the Vet. The next morning his is cold and shaking and barely breathing and bleeding on the floor. He died on the way to the emergency vet crying out in pain and I'll never forgive the carelessness with wich he was treated. I loved him.
