Eye Opener In Bainbridge,OH As Well 3/9/2012

I was in the midst of trying to have an appointment with this company, showed up when I was supposed to, filled out the paper work they sent me and when I got to their building they weren't even there or open. 85%-90% of the reviews I've read about this company have been negative, from all around the country. Some people have even stated they thought they were being physically abused during the appointments, given fillings that fall out, in pain and notice things worse instead of better. Have been lied to, which I already have been, not to mention, they said they tried to call me to cancel and reschedule my oringinal appointment, but said the contact number I gave them was incorrect, which I know I gave them my real phone number. There are red flags everywhere with this company. I'm surprised someone hasn't kicked the crap out of someone working at this company. I know I woundn't stand for some of this junk going on with this company. I haven't even got in their door yet and I'm going in to tell them to shred my initial paper work (file) or I'm gonna jump the counter and confront them. I want nothing to do with this company. Surely, sounds like a shady scam like operation going on. I personally, don't like to be around snakes. I am a warm-blooded mammal. I've had enough of this, heard enough about it and I don't care if I have to overkill such a reptilian disgusting gesture(so to speak) , as this company is coming across as. more

LOVE DENTAL WORKS TURKEY CREEK!! 6/2/2011

What a wonderful afternoon at the dentist's office! I took my three children for their exams since school is just out! I decided to get my appointment taken care of as well. From the minute I walked in I was treated so nicely. Rose at the front desk couldn't have been nicer as she helped me get all of the paperwork taken care of. She had a big smile for us and made me feel so cared for. We all saw Dr. Zajac. He was so friendly and explained all of the different things he found in all three of my kids' mouths--and mine. He took the time to show me on the xrays what he was talking about. I don't know anything about xrays, but as he explained and pointed out what he saw I began to understand what was there. It reminded me of my ultrasounds when I was pregnant; once the Dr. pointed out what was there it started to make sense! We all left with beautiful clean teeth and only my daughter and I have to go back for another appointment. I was able to take advantage of the free whitening ( I am very excited about that)! Dr. Zajac was great with my kids and I appreciated the time he took to make sure we were comfortable. I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in, but friends in my neighborhood book club told me that they just ""love Dr. Zajac"" and ""he is so convenient while shopping in Turkey Creek"" (that is SO true!) If you haven't been to Dental Works in Turkey Creek, they are next to Party City behind Calhoun's next to Regal Pinnacle. They handle your insurance claim and everything is computerized (in a good way) I am glad I listened to the book club and went to see him. ""Word of mouth is the best advertisement"" -- I agree and if you are looking for a great dentist then get over to Dental Works Turkey Creek and see Dr. Zajac! Say hello to Rose she will make you feel right at home and thanks to Jessica J who made the xrays easy-peasy for my family! more

These reviews are not at all what I experience 5/27/2011

Some of these negative reviews come not only from a place of anger but from a truly low dental IQ. I am the granddaughter, daughter, niece and sister of practicing dentists who have wonderful reputations in several states. I was a licensed and registered dental hygienist until five years ago. I have been seeing Dr. Robert Zajac at both the Clinton Hwy and the Turkey Creek offices. I am no longer practicing and I was never employed by Dental Works or Dr. Robert Zajac. I have been thoroughly impressed by his expertise in diagnosis, that includes early diagnosis. The work he has performed on me and my family has been marveled at and complimented by the vast dental opinions in my family. I would never allow a dentist to perform work on me or mine if he/she didn't explain and be willing to answer my questions about their recommendations. Dr. Zajac and his staff have been consummate professionals. I checked Dr. Zajac's record before I even walked through the doors of Dental Works. His record is pristine and he is highly trained. Referrals out for orthodontic, endodontic and periodontal work have proved spot-on with the specialists. If you are getting poor explanations from your insurance company I am not surprised! I have never once dealt with an insurance company who did not want to at least try to deny payment. The maximum dental benefits have been roughly $1000.00 per year since the 1970's! In that decade, you could get your entire mouth looking ""movie star quality""! Now that same amount will scarcely cover your biannual exams and cleanings. Many providers do not cover fluoride treatments! I grew up knowing how important they are--especially to children who are still waiting on permanent teeth. Double the importance if you live in a community where the water is not fluoridated. My children, my husband, and I know that the protection is worth the small cost in the long run. Your insurance benefits are between you and your employer--not you and your healthcare provider. All providers are governed not to waive a patient co-pay. You should be careful not to throw around extreme terms that are libelous and slanderous--especially since you are pitifully misinformed and speaking from such an angry place. Dr. Zajac and the staff there are very reasonable people and if you ask them reasonable questions and wait to hear their answers, I am sure that you would not have written such vitriol! Since I moved to this area five years ago I have often heard a phrase that truly applies here: ""Don't bring a knife to a gun fight""! Dental Works is not a place where the professionals literally wear side-arms, and I am not implying that you should ""literally"" carry a knife. What I am saying is that you are ""brandishing a knife"" where there is very clearly an ""arsenal of high quality weaponry"" to deal with all manner of dental condition. You are very much in need of dental education and if you are not too proud to ask, I am confident that your questions and concerns would be answered without judgment and certainly without what you seem to consider a ""full scale military operation"" against what you currently do not understand. My family and I, as well as many that I have referred to Dr. Zajac and Dental Works will proudly stand with them and the great dental experiences we have had in their care. I have never once had communication problems with them and the work that has been done for us is not only stellar, but painless as well. Dr. Zajac seems to have perfected the technique of administering anesthetic so that I not only have painless work but I also have painless injections! That was rare for me to find in an employer when I was practicing as a hygienist! Run, don't walk to Dr. Zajac at Dental Works! more

Is Your Work Done Right??? 4/19/2011

Dr. Robert Zajac with Dental Works Turkey Creek performed fraudulent and medically negligent work on me. The Gold they claim to sell is NOT gold. They rush patients through with no regards for previous medical history, even putting my life at risk. BUYER BE WARE!!! PLEASE have any and all crowns, bridges and other in mouth prosthetic devices checked for authenticity. Also, PLEASE have your fillings double checked. Dr. Borole and associates via Dr. Robert Zajac left decay in several fillings he did on me. My insurance company is aware and is trying to get an answer from them. HAVE YOUR WORK CHECKED!!! more

Watch your pocketbook !!!! What a scam !!! 2/23/2011

I went to Dentalworks in TurkeyCreek for a routine cleaning with good dental insurance. Was enticed by their ""free"" bleaching kit for new patients. After about 25 xrays and a ""gum exam"", they give me an explanation of several procedures that I need costing almost $1000 out of my pocket. When asked about the bleaching kit, they said I had to do the procedures first. When I aksed about doing a basic cleaning as the price was too high for the ""advanced cleaning"", they said I could NOT get the lesser cleaning now that they have determined that i NEED the more advanced, MORE EXPENSIVE one....Wow!!! Very disappointed that they do this to people...Wasted one of my annual visits on this scam...scared to see the bill if they charged my insurance for a lot of nonsense that I didn't need....DO NOT GO HERE !!!!! more

Very unprofessional 4/14/2010

I had terrible repeated visits, One cap took 5 visits and it was terrible when completed. The dentist was completely unprofessional in her manner and work was substandard. Do not use! Pros: local Cons: terrible service and bad work more

AVOID! 11/2/2009

This is for Dental Works Turkey Creek:\r If you are looking for to be forced to spend money you don't have - that's a good place to go. I have been lied about procedures that I have to get done, you go there for one thing and they will provide you with a huge list of things you have to get fixed. SCAMMERS! You should be ashamed! You don't realize how small Knoxville is and how important is networking in this town. \r Get a second opinion before you get anything done at that place - instead of suggested close to $8000 (Dental Works) I only spent $240 at a different dentist. Hope BBB closes that scam hole. \r more

Another just DON'T 3/20/2009

My review is for the one out at Turkey Creek. While I have never had any problem with waiting for an appointment or yelling like the other reviewer stated, I will agree with the rest of their review. You will go in for one thing and they will present you with a list of things wrong with your teeth and things you need done. They will present these things as if they are definite problems and medically necessary procedures. They will have you sign off on the list and you will do this not realizing any better. After all, you are not a dentist. You probably only know what you are led to believe when it comes to your teeth. Then, you will start getting the insurance explanations back from your insurance. You will see that many of these tests and procedures are not covered because they are not deemed standard or necessary. And, you are stuck paying the expensive bill. Just save yourself the money, stress, and headaches and don't bother. Go see an ethical dentist who only treats you for things that actually NEED to be treated for. Pros: Clean and mostly friendly Cons: Overpriced, misleading, unethical more

Just Dont 2/17/2009

I cannot speak for the other branches, but the farragut one is horrible. The dentist and staff yell at you and talk to you like you are retarded. ( I have a BS, so I REALLY don't appreciate this.) Also you have to wait a long time to be seen, then are rushed through the appointment. They also sneak things in on you that insurance does not pay for, and say you have expensive things wrong that you really don't. (Get a second opinion.) Also they don't want to deal with you once they get their money. Sometimes you need follow up things done that they refuse to do. Pros: Clean Office Cons: Yelling and talking down to more

not very affordable 5/8/2008

If $206.00 for first visit, and $56.00 for cleaning is ""affordable"" I need a better paying job. I do not mak that per week and need dental care now. Pros: answered phone after third call Cons: too expensive more
