I think people either love Whitt's or hate it. In the beginning I hated it, I just didn't ""get it."" I grew up on BBQ with a sauce. The sauce is what seemed to make or break a sandwich. So when I tried Whitt's, for the first time, I wasn't a big fan. (I'm not a big fan of their sauce). In fact I would go to other Nashville BBQ places b/c their sauce was better. \r
Then I started dating a guy who LOVED Whitt's and around the same time I started on the Weight Watcher system. What I came to find out is that I appreciated, and then grew to love, their Turkey sandwiches along with their coleslaw and corn bread (the new and old kind). Perhaps my pallet changed. Maybe I liked the fact that I could get a decent sandwich that TASTED AWESOME for few points and not think I was missing out. Going to Whitt's actually turned into a ritual for me after my Saturday jogging sessions.\r
I ended up marrying the guy who introduced me to Whitt's (for different reasons) and we ended up having Whitt's cater our wedding reception (I would recommend their catering service, easy to deal with and very flexible). \r
I will admit, if you go through the drive through your order will probably be wrong. Just ask them to change it and they will. The food is definitely worth the additional effort. \r
To wrap things up, if you are a BBQ person who ""must have sauce,"" I understand you and Whitt's is not the place for you. However, if you are a sauce person who has an open mind, give them a try. Their pulled meat is the best around. I recommend the Turkey.
Pros: Moist Meat, Weight Watcher Points Available via website
Cons: they do mess up orders
