Dr Horowitz is awesome but his staff is terrible. I needed to come in and get a $10 shot. Dr horrowitz said ""come in anytime and get the shot. Takes 2 secs with no office visit"". I tried explaining this to the old crotchety woman behind the desk and kept demanding I have to pay for an office visit. After 10mins of arguing I stormed out. I figured I would call and talk to the dr. No dice. I got a nurse who hung up on me. It was like she was trying impress someone by acting tuff. I never cursed her, yelled, or talked ugly to her. I was trying to explain what I had been told. She then told me dr Horowitz has so many nurses because he sometimes makes mistakes like telling people things that are wrong and I had to have an office visit. It's hard to believe he knows what they are saying about him behind his back. After I asked to talk to him she hung up on me. Then again when I called back. I will not be back. more

Great dermatologist! I had a rash on my forehead for almost 6 years. Two other dermatologist (one very prominent and well known) could not clear it up. Dr. Horowitz managed to get rid of it in 4 days with proper diagnosis, treatment and a combination of ointments. Success finally! more

I went to Dr. Horowitz for about 12 years. I always liked him but he totally missed skin cancer on my face. I kept pointing this one place on my forehead out to him, but it was always brushed off as nothing. I ended up moving out of state and when I went to a new dermatologist he immediately took one look at the place on my forehead and did a biopsy which in turn was skin cancer. I have been treated and hopefully will hav no more problems, however, I had it for almost 2 years because Dr. Horowitz didn't do anything about it. Pros: Good office, nice staff. Cons: He needs to learn what skin cancer is. more

I've been to Dr. Horowitz twice. Once for myself and once for my baby. The first time I went, he was quickly able to diagnose a skin condition that another doctor at different office was not able to. During both visits he and his staff treated us quite well, they spent time asking us questions, going over the symptoms and then educating us on the diagnosis, treatment options, etc. He seems very intelligent and as though he and his staff keep up with all the current information available on skin care. We did have to wait about 20 minutes the first visit and 10 minutes the second visit in the waiting room, but to me, it is well worth it to wait when I know I am are going to get quality care like Dr. Horowitz has provided us. Pros: Seems like an intelligent doctor, good staff, easy parking, on the first floor. Cons: Waiting time - but it's not too terribly long. more

I have a great medical plan but my primary physician referrred me to him. He cut off two moles and sent them for a biopsy and charged 170.00.My insurance only paid 100.00, me the other 70.00. I could have gone to Belle Meade and paid 50.00 for a great doctor. When I told the receptionist/office personnel she blew me off. I asked for an itemized bill and when recieved he stated several were removed. DONT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. Over priced, rude office personnel and simply David Horwitz in my opinion stinks Pros: sorry none Cons: rude, over billed more
