Parkwood was very highly rated and referred to us. We switched from another pediatrician because the location had become more of a problem for us. It was close to work, but far from the daycare and from home. There was also a doctor there we had issues with. She diagnosed our daugher with Shigella (dysentery), but 'forgot' to call in the prescription for our antibiotic. That mistake resulted in 2 more days of our 2yo screaming in pain and crying. Later we had another concern with our daughter doing something that could be perceived as inappropriate in public and when informed of that she laughed out loud, left the room and never addressed it. We did not want to see her anymore and we transferred to Parkwood. At the time we switched there was also an issue of a prescription for a strong lice medicine called in from the problem doctor's account, but we still have not received an explanation of why - we had not seen any doctor for lice and our daughter did not have them.
So imagine our surprise when that doctor transfers to Parkwood shortly after we did. Once we found out we expressed our desire that she not treat our daughter and we also expressed concern over the medicine issue. Our reward was that we recieved a certified letter advising us to find another doctor. No discussion, no warning - just a cowardly letter in the mail. I find it disheartening that they have no conflict resolution skills and cannot recommend them because if you have an issue it may result in you getting banned. Granted - we were a little emotional at the time because everything came to a head, but they never tried to call and talk to us - one of the other doctors just wrote the letter because we made the office staff uncomfortable because we were concerned for our daughter's welfare and stressing that we didn't want her to see our daughter again.
