As a regular customer of the Anderson, SC and Toccoa, GA Applebee's restaurants, I was disapointed with the Sam Rittenberg Blvd location. My husband and I, on our first visit to Charleston, were plnning to eat at the Ashley Phosphate location. But, a friend, showing us around the area, brought us here instead. Having had many good experiences with other Applebee's, I was disappointed. Never having had any request for one side substituted for another, denied, I wanted mixed vegetables intead of the mashed potatoes. But, the server refused, with the excuse that with the new menu being only a week old, the cooks had to get used to it before they started making substitutions. That's funny. At the Anderson, SC location, the day after the new menu came out, my request for a substitution was honored. So, I went ahead and orderd my ribeye with the mashed potatoes. Since I'd had some good ones in Anderson. But, these weren't nearly as good. And, everything was like-warm. If I ever return to Charleson, I'll try the Ashley Phosphate Applebee's. But, I won't be back to this one.
Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: Lukewarm food. No sustitutions.
