Sarah & Susie's Grooming

I cannot vouch for the boarding services at Sarah and Susie's, but as far as grooming services go, they are the BEST! My Standard Poodle is extremely afraid of being groomed and behaves so badly that other groomers have turned her away. Sarah and Susie do not only get the job done, but they are committed to making it a good experience for her. They have even requested that I come sit with her while she gets done to help comfort her and try to make it a positive experience. I have been extremely impressed with their professionalism and how they handle her when she is not behaving for them. They are very patient, kind and never lose their temper or speak a bad word to her. No, their store is not the most sparkling new and innovative looking, but the care is what matters, not the appearance. Would recommend to anyone! more

I have been taking my lab there for a few years and they couldn't be sweeter or do a better job! My dog loves them and he always looks wonderful after his bath! I highly recommend these ladies and the location is very convenient. more

I am appalled by the reviews I have read! The first time I boarded my dog with Sara and Susie, they asked me if she had any special needs or food and told me not to leave mine... they would have it. My dog almost jumped into their arms because an animal knows people who love animals. I picked her up and she smelled like all the new friends she had met... not that cologne smell that the vets spray on them to make you think the dog is clean, She was happy, exhausted and in great shape. I will never, ever use a vet for boarding again! Thank you Sara and Susie for welcoming my dog into your family while I am out of town! more

I've boarded Sally twice with Sarah & Susie so far and she has come back much happier than she ever did when I boarded her at my vet's kennel. more

I was picking up my poodle and Pros: the professional groomers there do a good cut.. Cons: small facility that does not get cleaned more

I boarded my dog with Susie and Sarah for three nights. I asked them to take two inches off of his hair. They cut his stomach, hind end and legs but not his back leaving him with a very odd looking hair cut. what was cut was choppy and very unprofessional looking. He also came home and drank two and a half bowls of water. He is a small dog who usually goes thru a bowl every three or four days. His bed was flithy and smell awful as did he. This was the first time my dog came back from a groomer looking and smelling worse than he did when he left. Also he came home missing his two top front teeth! I will never ever take my dog back to S&S. more

They did not ask for our dog's shot records so we were a little worried to begin with. We took him anyway and he got kennel cough there. I don't usually post write-ups on these boards; however, I believe others need to think twice about boarding your dogs here unless they change and start checking shot records. Cons: Does not check shot records. more

I have never had my pet stay with them. I made a reservation after getting a good recommendation from a friend but canceled after they didn't asked for my records or even mention them. After thinking about it, I called back to see if I needed to fax them over and they said they didn't need them and just trusted people that their dog were up to date. It makes me wonder that if they do not take the time to check a dogs vaccination records, what else do they over look?? Pros: Great price at 10 dollars a day. Cons: Short on the phone and doesn't check vaccination records. more

Always have had a good experience with the grooming aspect of my pets but recently boarded a puppy for a long weekend and he came back traumatized. They only fed him 1/3 of the food I gave them. One of the owners told me that she normally wasn't responsible for boarding the pets on the weekends because they take them to the country, but the other owner was sick and couldn't care for the pets. Got the puppy groomed the day I picked him up, wasn't ready on time and when I got him home, he ate like he hadn't eaten in 3 days and drank an entire bowl of water at one time! Also, the toys and rawhide I left with him over the weekend did not come home with him. The remainder of the evening he quivered and wouldn't live my side for a split second. He used to be a fairly independent puppy. What happened to him? This is not the first time I've left him for a long weekend, but the first and last time I'll leave him with Sarah & Susie's. If you love your pet, beware! more
