I decided to start using all natural deodorants to avoid the aluminum content in my regular deodorant. I went to Big Bear Natural Foods in Morrisville, PA figuring they would have a good selection and they did. In speaking with a female clerk and getting her suggestions I decided to go with Kiss My Face brand. I purchased the Patchouli and Summer Ete versions. After about a month I started getting a dark rash under my arms. Concerned, I called the company direct, they suggested it could be this or that but that I should go back to the store I purchased it at and get a full refund. I did my homework and called Big Bear to confirm that they would honor my return and also considering I live around 45 miles away from their store I didn't want to waste my time or gas for $13 worth of bad product. I spoke with the same clerk and she said I would need a reciept, I didn't save mine but then she went and asked her manager of whom said I can return without my receipt if I accept store credit. I agreed as I know they have a great selection of anything you could need in the Natural department. When I came in to return the products they guy at the register said I'd need a receipt I explained my previous conversations with their manager and the female clerk. He asked if I knew their name, I unfortunately didn't remember it off hand and he said that he would need a manager. The manager was getting ready to leave for the day and walked towards the front of store as if he would just leave, the clerk stopped him and explained briefly and the manager on staff at the time said No, I need a reciept still. I told him how the other manager said it would be okay and that I normally wouldn't return a product but considering they are an all natural store and these products caused me a rash I thought it to be the best option to go ahead and return it, plus the company Kiss My Face itself suggested this. He said in a stern voice you need a receipt and then walked away, another person was there he knew and they both started laughing about the situation and then just left the store. He had no time at all for me, they did not honor the return for store credit as stated in my previous convo with the other manager of their store, they were overally rude and non-customer friendly and had no consideration of the total of 90 miles I had to drive back and forth to go to their store. I am completely frustrated with this chain now as I know of other stores that have similar products and these said store WILL give me the service I deserve. Being in the natural foods business is great for the consumer but to be honest, I can buy most of these products online or at other natural food store like Trader Joe's, and several stores throughout the Bucks and Montgomery county areas. I am very upset at their lack of customer service and basically lying to me throughout my phone conversation forcing me to waste a lot of time driving to and from this location. I will never reccomend anybody go to their stores as this situation could come up and just for the fact that they TOTALLY lacked in taking care of the customer AT ALL in this situation. Good variety of products, prices mehhh, not so great and service, HORRIBLE!!!
