Dr. Royster took loving and professional care of my dog for thirteen years and I recommend him and his knowledgeable and kind staff most highly. He was able to convey specialized information in an accessible, clear way and to to explain everything I needed to know and understand in a way that helped me take better care of my dog. His accessibility, promptness, comprehensive treatment of the dog along with the excellent, friendly support offered by his staff was extremely reassuring and made my pet-owning experience all the more enjoyable and rewarding. more

Dr. Royster is very competent and caring, however, sometimes the staff are too protective of access to the doctor and "strict" on office procedure unnecessarily. I agree with the post that this practice is in large part about churning fees and the comparative pricing in regards to the national average is much higher, not so much based on individual items, but the quantity of items billed for one dog for one procedure for one stay in hospital. It is very good care, so it if you can afford it, it's a tradeoff. No issues or concerns EVER about care of animals or treatment, but the charges are way over priced and too numerous. It is like paying for a wash and blow dry at a human hair salon, and then being hit up for shampoo cost, hot water, towel and blow dryer rental. 'nuff said. more

I found Dr. Royster to be very gracious but the business is about making money. There are many unnecessary tests ordered or suggested at high costs with which the average pet owner is unfamiliar. Many things are recommended or done without asking the client. It is a shame to compromise good clients because of nichel-and-diming them. more

This is the place! Have referred 5 people there and all are thrilled. Dr. Reggie loves all animals and it shows. Staff is kind and loving to all animals. Given all options and costs, helps weigh benefits of treatment with quality of life. Everything a great vet should be! Pros: Top notch! Cons: can't think of any more
