Please disregard the other review for Consumer's. I have been an agent for 14 years in the Poconos and have used Consumers for not only the majority of my clients' closings, but also for my own. I have never, nor have I heard from other colleagues in this business of ANYONE having a bad experience with this company. Typically, when a liar...err buyer has a problem at closing, it's because they do something stupid like charge large purchases for their home before closing, which in turn drives up their debt to income ratio, which unfortunately changes their scores and ratings, sometimes resulting in a loan officer being unable to sign off on the loan. Is that the Title Company's fault? No, but to the idiot that posted the review, since he doesn't have a clue about how things in the real world work, he puts the blame on Consumer's. Do you really think a title company would wait just days before a closing to check credit? Or would you suppose that's the 2nd or 3rd time it was run? Pros: Efficient, personable, professional. more

Don't even think of using them if you want things to go smoothly! they waiting until 2 days before the scheduled closing to verify sellers credit -- they did find something so that was good, but their last minute inquiry has thrown everything off! They are rude and arrogant - and now they have a letter they say they needed and still won't let me close!! they now state they need 10 days for another letter to be received. THEY ALWAYS SAID THEY ONLY NEEDED THE LETTER THEY HAVE TO DATE!!! so.. plain and simple they are jerkoffs. more
