I recently opened an account with Sheila at Heritage Valley CU on Kings Mill Rd branch. I was not interested in doing my main banking there, so I specifically was asking about fees, such as minimum fees and account closure fees. I was told by Sheila Moore that there was no fee to close the account but there was a monthly fee if the account fell below a minumum balance requirement. I opened the account in October and today decided I do not want the account. I sent an email to close the account and to my surprise I was told there was a fee to close the account within 90 days, they have a 90 day waiting period. Since Sheila was not in I asked that my email be directed to a supervisor and I got the following message sent back to me that was also cc'd to M Gutshall. I am guessing he is a supervisor. Who knows???
