Customer used 1/2 a roll of duct tape on his car. We are not responsible for duct tape. He called 2 weeks prior to job being performed and was called several times prior to our arrival to remove tape. The longer the tape is on, the harder it is to get off. We only removed the minimum amout of tape to replace his glass. Told him we were not responsible to remove the rest of the tape because it would likely remove the paint. He was fine with that at the job, called 2 days later complaining that we ripped the paint from his vehicle. I tried to reason with him but he was adament that we had to pay to have his truck painted. It ended ugly and I regret that. I take it personally when a customer is not satisfied, but he was unreasonable. We almost never have complaits, only praise. I make every effort to rectify any problems there may be.
