A dealership with your best interest in heart 7/25/2012

Out of the 12 vehicle purchases we made in the past, Colonial Auto Mart was THE BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE!! We live 2 hours away so I was reluctant to inquire on a GMC Acadia that I found on Autotrader. Surprisingly, there was a phone number included on the post that I could text to get more information. Since it was so late on Saturday afternoon when I sent the text I never anticipated Cyndi would respond so quickly. She told me they close at 4 but if we wanted to see it to come on up she would wait for us. We packed up our 2 teenage kids and drove to Indiana. We pulled into the dealership, we were greeted by Cyndi, she had my 2 teenagers laughing in the first 2 minutes ( now I was really impressed). She made us feel at ease throughout the whole buying process. We kicked back in her office for awhile. There was no haggling, the vehicle was priced right. Not only was the vehicle priced to sell, but it came with their EXCLUSIVE AND COMPLIMENTARY LIFETIME POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. Cyndi and more

Parts changers 5/1/2012

Took my 2005 GMC 2500 Duramax in for a leak on #7 injector supply line, they told me that I needed a new injector which I didnt have a choice to do so they put it in for $800 plus. They also said I needed a new electrical connector for the injector for $100. We then took the truck on a trip to Michigan and on the way back the truck went into reduced power mode. I pulled over to find the same fuel line leaking so I limped to the nearest exit and had the truck towed into the nearest GMC shop. They looked at it the next morning and showed me that the connector was never replaced and the fuel line needed replaced as it had a groove in it that was leaking. As they showed me the same codes came up when the injector was bad and a problem with the fuel line I'm sure the injector was never bad in the first place. We spoke with Colonial with no coverage so we are out another $900 plus hotel room and rental vehicle. I would not take a bicycle to colonial and I will be selling all GM vehicles to include my Trail Blazer and two Jeeps and will never buy again maybe we will try Toyota. more

Small Dealership; great service 12/12/2009

Have bought one new and one used car from Colonial in the past 10 years. Buying a car is buying a car- you have to do your research before you buy and not depend entriely on the sales staff BUT Colonial's service dept is the best and that is why I buy from them and recommend them to other people. They are honest, personable and will describe problems in detail and discuss options with you. Their service people know their stuff. Their mechanics are highly trained. more

I have bought 4 cars there in the past 8 years. And I have been happy with every purchase. People surprise me when they buy a 2-3k car and expect it to be perfect. And who would pay anybody $800.00 to put a starter in. WOW. more

A Mediocre Dealer with Mediocre Service. 11/16/2005

I bought a car from these guys 5 years ago and I'm not very pleased with the experience. It was a used vehicle but they still claimed to do a Multi-Point Inspection. Well, they said my car was good, but as it turns out, the exahust had a leak. I didn't realize it till after I had JUST bought it, but they still charged me to repair it even though they should have caught it in the first place. PROS: Unknown. CONS: Not too trustworthy. more
