I've been going to 3-C with my kids for a year and a half now, and this is a long term relationship! The horses are really well-trained and friendly, mostly Morgans. There?s over a dozen of them, many have won national -level show prizes and there?s a good range of temperaments, so you can find a horse suitable for your riding level. The owners - Pam and Alan - feel like family; they used to breed and show a lot; now they teach (riders and horses too ? if you have a horse with difficulties, they can turn him/her around.) Riding there is the high point of my week! Lessons are very structured - very safe if you have a beginner rider - and they teach how to care for a horse, too. Lots of students end up buying one of the horses (they love them so much) and boarding at the barn. If you want a place for your kid to ride and learn, learn, learn about horses (and a lot of good values, too), you should try this place.
Pros: Friendly, well-cared for, clean, happy horses, prompt lessons
Cons: 30 minutes drive from I-275
