I am so glad that my brother recommeded Dr. Allen to me years ago or my Scrappy would still be going to a vet that was not half as good with him. Dr. Allen and his staff are so wonderful to my baby of 13 years, that even Scrappy doesn't mind going to see Dr. Allen! He thinks of him as a friend! They are very comforting there for both my dog and me, due to the fact that I am a worrier. They have fair prices and get the job done well.\r Thank you! I wish I found this vet many years earlier. He was so wonderful! When he came out to put my sick & very old sweet doggy 'down' last year in the back of our jeep, he and his staff were very sympathetic and showed lots of lovin' on my poor doggy, and he explained what was going to happen and how quick it would be. Then he stayed and made sure my dog was 'out' and tucked her all up. We were very concerned because a previous Austintown/Youngstown vet put our other old, very VERY sick dog down 2 years before and came out to our vehicle THREE (3) TIMES to give it DEATH SHOTS!!! The third time he had to stab my 14 year old SICK dog into the heart with that needle! It was excruciating to witness! People at work told me that a good vet puts down a horse with one needle stick and it takes only seconds. I loved Dr. Allen and I hope he becomes President some day! more

Without a doubt, the most wonderful, caring doctor out there. Staff is awesome. This doctor is so dedicated and loving. I had to have my furbaby put down due to kidney failure, these people are so loving and understanding. We are so fortunate to have Dr. Allen near are home. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else more

i have not had the chance to meet him. my dog came from the pound and my husband took him to his first vet appt. when i called with questions the office girls, were so nice answers all my quetions and were very knowledgeable and personable. My husband is a marine and Dr. Allen is very supportive of our military. He was very caring for our new Family member. My husband was Raving about what a great guy he was and what a great animal doctor is he. It takes alot to impress us. I can't wait to meet him. He was good people working for him from what i've exprinced. They have real concern about any of my questons or concerns. A+++ more

He is so concern about welfare of dogs/puppies, that is offer to help out the Mahoning County Pound with reduced rates ($80) in spay/neuter. The price also includes rabies, de-worming, and heart medicine. The Mahoning County Pound has a mandated polices that the pet must be spay/neuter to adopted the pet. This sure help interested pet owns knowing that there is an affordable rate to adopt. Thanks! more

Caring vet. Works with all animals. Wants every animal to have the best quality of life it can have. He worked with my dog to find out why he started having ear problems as he grew older. more
