Received world class care! 1/28/2011

My tiny Cairn terrier developed severe heart failure and we were referred to an internal medicine specialist at Metro by our regular vet. The care Punkin received from Dr. Marcia Carothers was world class! She asked detailed questions about Punkin's symptoms/history and spent 30 minutes examining her. Then she spent 45 minutes performing an ultrasound exam. Then she spent 30 minutes going over the results of the test while showing me the ultrasound on the computer. \r \r Dr. Carothers was warm, patient and extremely kind. She answered all my questions and provided a written report before we left. She provided the results and her recommendations to our regular vet immediately by fax. She called my home with results of additional tests when the results were available and asked that we update her on how Punkin is doing from time to time.\r \r The cost was more than reasonable considering how much time and attention our dog received. Punkin is recovering and I am so grateful for the outs more

Wonderful People, Wonderful Hospital! 8/10/2007

These people are grade A++ professionals! I can't say enough how much I love this hospital. We had picked up a stray cat during the winter who had a litter of 5 kittens. 3 days after birth, two kittens died.. We took them to Banfield Pet Hospital.. they told us not to be sad because that happens with strays (not what I wanted to hear).. the next day 1 more died. We took the remaining two back to Banfield and they still would not help us, just told us to keep them warm and bottle feed them (momma had given up on them). When we got home, one more died. We took the remaining baby to Akron Veterinary hospital. They offered no help either. \r \r I cried for hours over the last tiny kitten and finally decided to take him to Metropolitan because it had become late. It's like $85 just to get in the door and be seen. But to me, it was worth it. They try everything they can for the animal. By the time we took little domino he was so weak he just layed limply in your hand. A couple ho more

Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital 12/29/2005

Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital is a very, very nice place to keep in mind. They are open very late, maybe even 24/7 now. The workers are very kind, and are quick to offer assistance. They have pretty much all the equipment that could ever be needed. They will rush you for a emergency, which is an mind ease. I would go anytime here. They can be expensive. more

Best Pet Emergency Hospital 9/29/2005

This Hospital open 24 hours a day. Whenever there is an emergency, this is the best place to go. The staff are very professional and very caring of your pet. There are couple times, my dog had to go to the emergency. I took him here. They made me feel things will be alright once my dog is in their hand. They also have almost all kind of medical equipment to do any kind of the test if needed. more
