I Absolutely Love this place!! I have taken quite a few things in for repairs of some sort and I am always totally happy with the end results. Just recently I took a Louis Vuitton purse in to get relined of leather material, and let me tell you the lining looks better than it did when I purchased the bag!! The ""Master Tailor"" used cowhide and it is gorgeous!! He did a phenomenal job, I asked to leave date stamp and everything inside as is and that's just what he did. I am so pleased the bag looks brand new and it is 20 years old. Louis Vuitton should be ashamed of themselves for putting a material in their bags that deteriorates in humid weather for the cost of their items, cowhide should have been a top choice. Ladies if you experience the peeling, sticky and smelly lining in your vintage bag ""DO NOT"" hesitate to take it to Al Nola's it will be one of the smartest choices you will make!! Al Nola is not worthy of fixing anything I have! I took my suede boots to them to be cleaned along with the heel to be fixed. When I went to pick them up it was the worst job I had ever seen I can't even wear the boots ever again I cried so hard. I paid $150 for them and they charged me $65 to ruin them! One heel has a square crease in it where it was patched and the other is smooth, they also unfolded all the places where the bows and folds were and the soles are coming off!! more

'Better late than never' to respond to glennd! He is VERY wrong! Must've been his own attitude that was bad! Unless the shoes had been run over by a truck, I've never known them not to be able to repair an item! :-) I've even seem them make a pair of suede shoes that had been water damaged look like new! I've been going to Al Nola's for almost 40 years. Their work is fantastic! Many times over the years they have rescued some item from disposal, (including coats, bags, shoes, leather clothing, etc. They are innovative in finding solutions and their repairs are incredible! Just 2 examples: 1. Area around leather coat pockets were starting to shred. They overlaid/stitched around the pockets with new leather which appeared to be part of the original coat design. That was a few years ago, and I'm still wearing it now! 2.I have a pair of shoes with two tassels on each shoe. 1 of the 4 was somehow torn off. They replaced it so that, to this day, I can't remember which of the tassels is the new 1! Also, they have made items for me from scratch that are beautiful! In addition, They make you feel special; and they are kind, concerned, professional, efficient, and just plain nice as can be! As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing bad anyone could EVER say about them, and I'll continue to recommend them to everyone I know or meet! more

This is hands down the best shoe , luggage, leather repair place around. I took an expensive piece of luggage in that i thought was "toast" and they repaired it for next to nothing. I have been going to this business for years and have never encountered a nasty person. Maybe Glennd was having a bad day. I highly recommend this business. more

I had to write a review when I saw the one from glennd titled "Nasty People" (in all caps, no less). Do NOT believe that review. It's nonsense. Hands down, Al Nola Shoe Repair is the best place to get shoes and anything else repaired. I used to live in Alaska and sent my shoes back here for new heels - and found out I was certainly not the only person who grew up with Al Nola and, after moving away, mailed shoes back and forth for repair. The people and service are exemplary. In addition to shoes, they have fixed my dog harness (readjusting it, at no charge, on a second visit) and I'm about to go pick up, literally, a horse boot which needed a custom fit. I'm told it was the first time this venerable shoe repair service worked on a piece of apparel for a horse. I can't say enough good about Al Nola. more

I went to Al Nola's after reading about him in the newspaper, that he could make custom changes to shoes. I had 3 pairs of shoes repaired, and visited the shop about 5 times. On all occasions the staff was very pleasant and parking was right in front of the store. I had a pair of loafers re-stitched, a favorite pair of heels repaired, and most importantly, he was able to make a modification to my wedding shoes. I was nervous about having anybody touch these, but they no longer fit. He was able to add a strap and match the leather, and now they are perfect! Overall I was very impressed. Prices were reasonable and the service was excellent! I will go back. Pros: Quality, Price, Parking, Service Cons: None more

Fantastic customer service, very polite and very courteous. I took a jacket up and they were able to repair the zipper im so happy !!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone. more

One time I went here to get some luggage for my vacation and I found some very good deals on some things. Then I found out that they did shoe repair too so the next time I needed that service, I went to them and was very pleased with the results. They are friendly people also! more
