We've been taking our dog to Petco for grooming for the last 6 years. Yesterday, my husband and I tried to make an appointment but they were unable to find our records. It was a little disturbing since we'd been going there for the past SIX YEARS!
Carol and Adrienne, the grooming manager, were horrible on the phone. Had they made an ATTEMPT to tell us from the beginning that they had converted to a "new computer system", perhaps we wouldn't have been so annoyed and irritated with their complete lack of customer service. Instead they treated us like we were morons.
Adrienne made comments to me like, "I think you should find somewhere else to take your dog", and when she finally admitted that they had a new system, I told her that she nor Carol had never mentioned that to us when I was initially trying to make the appointment. Her response to that was, "Are we going to play the blame game here?" I called multiple times afterwards to speak with the Store Manager but the phones were connecting to the Grooming Department and they hung up on me 3 times! So my husband went down to the store to talk to the Manager and told them we will no longer be using their services unless Carol and Adrienne call to apologize. We still haven't heard from them.
In these times of economic recession, I'm surprised Petco doesn't train their employees about good customer service. It's a shame that people have jobs that they don't appreciate and think they can get away with treating their customers poorly. Good bye Petco. We will never use you again and hope other people don't ever use you either until you get your employees to learn some good customer service or replace them.
