Inconsistent service; forgettable food.

good food...good beer...not the best service 9/10/2005

I went in to the laurelwood one afternoon with a group of friends, and waited to be seated. A waitress came up to us and told us to seat ourselves so we did. Then another waitress came up to us(the one that was going to serve us) after we were seated and got mad at us for seating ourselves. Then she was angry the whole time she served us. I have been there other times and that hasnt happened since, so it might of just been that one person. more

Kid Friendly Brewery 8/15/2005

This is a great place. Its kid friendly with no smoking and a little play area for the kiddos to run around in. Plus, they have great brews, including some entirely organic selections. The food is good, I'm partial to the fries, but its not spectacular. It compares to many of the chain restuarants, but the fact that its very kid friendly makes it one of my favorite places. more

A great place to take the kids 8/8/2005

The Laurelwood Public house is a great place to take the kids. On the second floor of this restaurant there is a play room for the children. In this small area of the restaurant kids can wander from the play area to the table to get some food and nobody minds. The whole floor is full of parents with children who are all doing the same thing. The food isn't that special, but it is worth taking the trip to this restaurant for a chance to get a grown up meal with the kids. Another plus side to this restaurant is happy hour. THe happy hour menu is great and very inexpensive more

Great everyday restaurant & brewery 4/18/2005

We love going to Laurelwood for a beer and their great Alaskan salmon. Their beer is excellent - and they even have organic brews. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and upbeat. The food is reliably good - not great, but good. We usually get the Alaskan salmon. The sandwiches are hit & miss, and the pasta is good but rich. They’re willing to do custom orders on request. more
