When I went to switch my company's Internet service provider from Qwest (do not get me started on how much I loathe them and how many problems I've had with their services over the years; take my advice and switch now if you use them for ANYTHING), I did a lot of shopping around for another. I wanted to avoid the numerous problems I'd been having with Qwest: frequent outages, slow connections during certain times of the day, and wretched customer service (I began to think of their "customer service in action" slogan as "customer service inaction"...ugh!).
I am happy to report that since I've switched to New Edge, I have had none of the same problems. In the year+ that I've been with them, I think I've been unable to access the Internet once, and that was for about two hours. When I called to inquire about the service outage, the customer service rep couldn't have been more helpful and apologetic; I ended up with a 50% discount for service on my next bill.
Getting someone out here to install all the initial necessary equipment was arranged quickly. Connection times never lag. When I call customer service, my call is answered within five minutes (ever tried to call Qwest and talk to a person?). New Edge costs about 20% more than most, but it's definitely worth it. I love my service.
