Best

Best pitas ever! Not too expensive, but still quality food! Amazing hummus and Chicken Shawarma! Pros: Price, food, parking Cons: Too far from Northwestern's Campus :-p

No great atmosphere but good lamb patties;) 5/22/2007

Sorry but I didn't get it. I saw it reviewed on tv and was set up for the best. I was disappointed w/the atmosphere and food was average. I had the combo plate. The only thing worth talking about was the lamb patties. I won't rush back. more

Okay Food 3/9/2006

I know everybody's always raving about this place, but I don't really see what's all that great about it. I mean it is super crowded for one. The atmosphere is loud here. The food is plenty, but I find it bland. So, what exactly makes it so great? I still have yet to discover that. But I can give it a few plus factors like the cheap prices and the fast service. But other than that, this is definitely not one of the places on my favorites list! more

Good Food 2/24/2006

This is a great place to eat at with the entire family. This is because this place has very tasty and healthy food. Also, it is very inexpensive too. They have a huge medditeranean menu here, with lots of great, healthy options. I love their falafel here, which are fried chickpea balls. There's something for everyone on this menu. Its a very casual place where you seat yourself and order yourself. But its also a fun place. It is also very popular, so watch out for the crowds during lunch hours and on weekends. more

Good Food 1/15/2006

At this place you can get a lot of good food for a very low price. They have all kinds of mediterranean food, from appetizers to meals to desserts. I thought the hummus here was the best that I have had so far in the Chicago area restaurants. The only bad thing about this place is that it gets very crowded at times and so it is loud and seating can be hard to find. But otherwise it is a great place to eat. more

Good Value but not Great! 1/11/2006

This is a good Middle Eastern fast food restaurant. It is a great value considering the prices; the food is delicious and the prices are really reasonable. But remember that it is a fast food restaurant! The atmosphere in the restaurant is average; you wouldn't not choose to spend your Friday night with friends up there. more

Excellent Food at Great Prices 12/25/2005

I have been eating on Pita Inn for years. This location was renovated just last year to make it more spacious. The location has a nice ambiance and a very friendly staff. The menu has a variety of nice platters. My favorites: For appetizers I recommend the stuffed grape leaves, hummus, and falafel. For entrées I recommend the chicken shwarama entrée, the shwarama entrée and the vegetarian entrée. All entrees are under 8 bucks. The food is good. Don't forget to ask for hot sauce and tahani. more

Best Middle Eastern around Chicago area 8/5/2005

In my opinion, this is the best middle eastern fast food place around chicagoland area. They have lunch specials which is very cheap. Actually, this place is overall very cheap compare to what they offer. They have many awards won within last couple years. Every time I go there, the food is the same great quality and my favorites are kofte kebab and falafel. I recommend this place to everybody who loves meat. more

Fresh delicious middle eastern food 8/1/2005

Pita Inn is a great place to eat delicious, fresh Middle Eastern cuisine. They have delicious, fresh pitas which are incredible - I always buy some from the market to take home with me, along with lots of extra hummus! The restaurant itself isn't all that visually appealing, but I find the food more than makes up for it. The business lunch is a fantastic value (roughly 5 dollars) and a good way to sample different items to see which you like best. more

Tasty Mediterranian fare, bargain prices 7/27/2005

A neighborhood favorite, this lively spot is great for no-frills mediterranean food. Semi-self-service format, but food is first rate and a bargain. You order at a busy counter, then find a seat and pick up your order when called. Plan to wait during peak periods, but line moves quickly and staff aims to please. Generous portions of favorites such as Gyros, shwarma, falafel and kabobs. Pita bread comes with meals and is plentiful, baked fresh in bakery next store. Stop in Pita Inn market adjacent to the restaurant for mediterranean grocery items, deli and bakery. Casual dining. A bit loud inside, and parking can be a challenge during busy periods. more

Healthy Fast Food! 7/9/2005

Pita Inn is "upscale" fast food. From the outside, it looks like a renovated Taco Bell, but inside its a very clean ane well-kept restraunt. They have a great menu, with plenty of healthy meditteranean food. Everything is reasonably priced and the protions are big. Their fresh baked pitas and their baklava are a must-try! more
