On March 20th about approximately 8:18am I was in the drive thru of this Burger King. They took my order and I drove to the window. The cashier did not acknowledge me. Him and another associate were at the register doing something with the computer. After about a minute or two, the cashier finally took my money. The cashier did not apologize for my wait and barely acknowledged me. Only when he gave me my food did her speak to me, and he said have a good day. I looked in my bag for my receipt and there was none there. The, and only then, when I inquired about my receipt did he tell me they were having a problem with their registers and no receipt would be forth coming. By this point in time I was frustrated by the general poor guest service i had received. I informed him that I needed a receipt and he said he could not reproduce one. I then said, ""I want your 1 800 number, your name and your associates name that helped you."" He said he had no number to give me. At this I was out raged and demanded the number and his name again. Then he went to pull a piece of paper from the till that had it. I told him I needed some kind of something that had this store's number on, my order number, and his name in order to file my complaint. He said he could not and then got the gentleman that was assisting him before. Come to find out it was the store manager, by his name tag. He told me he could not get me a receipt and at this point I was livid. I said, ""You will get me some kind of receipt or something with an order number and a store number so I could file a complaint."" At this point he informed me that he was recording ME! As if I was the person in the wrong and not them. I said, ""Good!"" and waved at the camera and said, but you are still wrong for my treatment and you will get me what I asked for, because I A) put it on my credit card and I deserve a receipt and I can't file the right kind of compliant with out one. He then walked over to another register, that apparently was working fine and finally produced a receipt. The irony to this whole story is this: had they simply acknowledged me in the first place and told me there was an issue with the register instead of ignoring me from the beginning this whole situation could have been avoided. I would have understood that there was a problem had they told me up front and apologized for the inconvenience from the beginning. Then they had the audacity to treat me like I was in the wrong after having been treated like a problem was what really put this over the top. I live in this town, I have gone out of my way to go to that Burger King, because I liked their deals over other franchises, but no more. I not only will never go back to this store, but will never go back to a single one of there franchise stores. In all likelihood will never go back to Burger King as a company again. Furthermore, they not only lost my business, but I made sure to tell all my coworkers about what happened and most of them will never go back to that location either. It seems that after I said something several of them had similar instances of poor guest service in the past.
Pros: nothing
Cons: they have the worst guest service I have ever received.
