The new location has not helped this 6/8/2012

The new location has not helped this place become any more organized or offer a wider selection of their baked goods. Which is a shame because the baked goodies are mighty tasty. Sadly this establishment suffers from being incredibly unorganized! The basic layout of the bakery is terrible with tons of wasted space. The coffee stand, display cases and cash register area is a confusing setup that creates a space where the customers wander around wondering where they should place their order. The employees appear quite helpless to offer any assistance. The person who is usually at the cash register has a rough time ringing items up, not know the prices, what you ordered, which customer is with whom & ringing up wrong items, etc. Having grease board menus that are located on the floor don't help matters. For an establishment that advertises itself as a bakery they have a very small selection of baked goods yet curiously they appear to have a rather larger bakery that is staffed with what appears to be bakers? Every time I have been there the selection of baked goods has been very, very skimpy.\r \r While the food & coffee items are good the poor setup of the establishment & total lack of selection of bakery goods in the display cases make it tough to be a return customer. Very sad because this part of the neighborhood could use a nice bakery. more

Owner is a bully. Allows smoking and tries to intimidate. 9/30/2011

There is a smoking ban in Denver. Smokers must stay 15 feet from an entrance. Today I complained to the owner and at first he told me they are allowed to smoke. When I showed him the law on my iPad and asked him again to ask the smokers to move, he got very belligerent. He stormed outside and told the smokers that I (me) was going to have them arrested if they continue to smoke. Then he turned to me and said ""you don't have to come back here, you know"" It's too bad because the pastries are good here, and I am a huge supporter of local businesses. But this was truly uncalled for. I did not appreciate being intimidated and being treated so inredibly rudely by the owner. more

Finally getting the recognition it deserves!! 4/11/2010

After having a fabulous time with family and friends at this bakery every time that I visit Denver I decided that it was time to let others know about this hidden treasure. Much to my delight I realized that many people know about it and it was just voted best bakery in Denver! However, I noticed that this woman named Andra keeps writing nasty comments about the bakery on every review site possible and posts new comments when the feeling to be malicious overcomes her? One comment per customer seems enough to flex your freedom of speech. More than that makes you seem a bit unhinged and like you have a hidden agenda. Pros: Everything is scrumptious and GREAT service more

Terrible service, mediocre baked goods 1/31/2009

This is where you go when you want to be abused by a wait person. Sometimes a great product may allow you to overlook mediocre service. The problem at this bakery is that the baked goods are inconsistent, mostly mediocre; if you really pick right one day perhaps good. The service is impossible. No one expects the owner, a temperamental baker, to be all cheers--he is in the back of the house creating. But his front of the house person, a middle-aged, frustrated, and mostly incompetent lady makes you want to run for the hills. We thought her unwelcoming and unprofessional attitude was an isolated incident, but after three visits at the bakery and similar experiences we called it good. We are certainly NEVER going back there. No one should have to pay to put up with that kind of awful service. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Pros: the baked goods are sometimes good Cons: terrible service, unfriendly ambience, overpriced more
