Great Doctor's... Terrible office setting!!! 7/26/2011

I went to Bucks ENT in December of 2009 to have a consult re: a Thornwaldt Cyst in my nasopharnyx. Although I had already completed my personal research and had made the decision that I wanted it removed, (Very Very rare growth, chronic allergy/sinus problems my entire life) I thought that Dr. Chack was very insightful and was very enthusiastic about my approach to the situation as well as for my prognosis. The surgery was performed Jan. 12 2010 at St. Mary's in Langhorne, by Dr. Chack and the entire experience was positive (and, oddly enough, quicker then going for an appt at the office.... I am not joking.) A thorough job was done with the removal process, I experienced minor pain and pressure (much less than I was told to expect, which wasn't ominous to begin with) and he even took the time to speak to me post-surgery re: a concern I had with the doseage of pain medicine he would be prescribing, which is amazing in itself, considering he is an ENT Dr. performing a rather minor surgery and most other Dr.'s would give you crap if you wanted to question what they would be writting you. At follow-up, i feel that his examination was thorough and he seemed thrilled that I had such minor complications post-op and that I had already seen a 50% change in breathing as well as swallowing (which was a pain in the ass to live with complication from having the cyst which i experienced everyday for my entire life thinking it was normal) I have also had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Bliglia as well as Dr. Hammer for other issues and have had positive experiences with them also. As far as the wait times (in the general waiting room and exam room) I have never been to an appt., wether for myself or with my wife who also goes there, which lasted under two hours. It is honestly a huge pain in the ass and I avoid going unless absolutely urgency calls. The only thing I can chalk that up to is the fact that there are so many Dr.'s in the practice so it looks as though the ""double booking virus"" has run rampant. What I think is hysterical is the fact that when things get too crowded up front, there is a seperate waiting room in the back in which case they will come out and call 4-7 people back to wait there, so when you arrive to the office, add atleast 6 people to your head count!!!!! IMHO, I can stomach the wait in order to be seen by a Dr. whom I can trust and feel comfortable while under his care, but as far as anyone else is concerned, this is a situation in which you have to play the ""do the positives outweigh the negatives"" card and decide wether or not your first appt is your last. more

Nose Smose 7/31/2010

Dr. John Gallagher.\r \r So my wife talks me into going and having a singe done on my nose because it bleeds on the right nostril here and there. So this guy gets the chemical and starts pushing. I mean pushing my whole nose into the back of my head with a rag in my nose. Then he's looking at it. And then pushes again even harder. And then harder where I'm like what the (^&* is he doing. It hurt for awile and still bleeds. So he didn't fix anything. \r \r An old guy on the way out asks me what I thought of him. It was odd and only later did I realize. I said he was rough. The old man said he had been back three times and his nostril still wasn't cauterized right.\r \r I ran into him in the hallway at the hospital a few weeks later and he smiled and laughed but like he was laughing at me. Out of place.\r \r Then a few months later my mother sees me and says why is your nose crooked. I got to thinking and start moving it around and what do you know. It has been broken and snaps in an odd way ever since. \r \r So this guy who says he is a dr. broke my nose and gets paid for it. Hopefully some of you avoid him and save yourself some money and pain and a broken nose.\r \r John. Pros: absolutely none Cons: having a bent nose more

Good Doctors when seen 8/3/2009

I ahd mixed reviews with this office. After being sent by my primary doctor, I saw Dr. John Gallagher and even though I had to wait a hour for mu appointment I found him very good. He has help me for the past year with my hearing loss and sinuses. But the key is to schedule first thing in the the morning. There is a long time in the exam room too. I have a few issues with the staff as sometimes they are friendly and other times nasty. I am still waiting for them to call me back to schedule surgey. It has been 6 days and 2 phone calls. I might be looking for a new E.N.T. doctor Pros: good staff Cons: overbook and very long wait times, no call back reminders more

Most compassionate and knowledgeable ENT 9/12/2008

I lost my voice due to a paralyzed vocal cord. Scared that anything worse could happen, I went to Bucks ENT Associates and had my appointment with Dr. Jeffrey M. Briglia D.O. I was treated with compassion and concern, as well as respect. I was taken in a timely manner. The time spent with the Dr. was generous, while he answered all of my concerning questions, giving two options for restoring my voice. I am grateful I was recommended the him and certainly will follow-up, with trust for a complete recovery. Pros: Caring and professional more

Caring and knowledgeable 8/5/2008

I have been going to Bucks ENT for going on 2 years. I had chronic sinus problems that my general physician could not cure and suggested going to an ENT. I chose Bucks ENT as Dr. John Gallagher was affiliated with my nearby hospital and had good credentials.\r \r Dr. Gallagher was concerned about my condition and worked with me to cure the chronic sinus infection I had without surgery! I continue to go to Bucks ENT as I am on allergy immunotherapy for my allergy problems and my condition has improved a lot over the course of treatment.\r \r I will say that the waiting room can get pretty full. However, I take this as a good sign even if there may be a wait. The wait has never been longer than I experienced at other doctor offices. Pros: Dr. Gallagher is knowledgeable and caring Cons: Waiting room can get pretty full more

Fabulous Dine-in Service 6/27/2008

So I have had on going ear issues for a few months and went to a couple of ENT's in the bucks county area, including Joel Jaffee, Lee Miller and Sandra Saul. These doctors more or less said that there is not much to do except wait it out and the experience felt more like a drive-thru, rather than dine-in. \r Then I was referred to Dr. John Gallagher and oh my gosh, what a wonderful experience. Dr. Gallagher sat with me and throughly explained what is going on and had such an urgency to get to the bottom of the issue. He was incredibly concerned and empathetic and clearly explained the various steps he was going to take to figure out what is going on. He said at the end of the appointment, ""I just hope that I can help you and get things back to normal"". I would absolutely reccommend Dr. Gallagher with all my heart. He is kind, patient, thorough, knowledgable, and down to earth. He was such a blessing! Pros: They scheduled me in last minute!! Cons: Office staff not the friendliest bunch in the world but did their job more

worse experience 6/20/2008

i totally agree with the other reviewer! everything she said was true to my experience too.\r i was considering plastic surgery on my nose, and when i asked him to expain how it would look, he squished my nose in with his finger, and said ""like this"".\r at one point he didnt seem to like my questions, and slammed his folder shut and said, ""go to someone else"" Cons: dr with a terrible attitude more

ENT meat market 4/4/2008

My appts. with Dr Chack was under 2 minutes . The wait was over 2 hours. They over book . He refused to answer my questions, is arrogant, pompous, and does not explain anything. They are so obessed with typing notes on their laptops more than helping patients get answers to the ENT health issues. When I asked one question , he said ""time is up"" That is why I go out of state for many doctor appts. Pros: leaving there Cons: everything more
