I hadn't been to 122 St. Mark's since Jeff Buckley was clubbing around the Lower East Side and Bua was Sin-e. But my recent visit here reminded me warmly of those amazing times. Of course, more than a few changes have been made since that time, but all good ones, and they create a cozy atmosphere. I wasn't lucky enough to come when anyone was playing music, which I hear they do at times, but I can definitely see how this place would be ideal for that. It's small and cozy and the bartender was sweet and friendly. I really had a great experience. It's a shame Jeff isn't here today to play here. Anyway, it's a fabulous bar, you should definitely take a look. I live in New York but it was such an adorable place I felt the need to take pictures! :) Try it!
Pros: Atmosphere, cozy cafe feel
Cons: a little crowded at night & on weekends, max occupancy is 74, place is a bit tight. but well worth it.
