Editorial review from Citysearch 12/11/2012

I left one doctor within the practice several years ago because of poor service. When I tried to make another appointment the person scheduling the appointment said she had to get approval from the other doctor. I never heard back. When I called the office manger she never answered the phone nor returned my call. more

If you think your head hurts now, just wait! 12/1/2008

I liked my doctor (that I've seen once), but the staff has been HORRIBLE to work with. I was supposed to follow up in 8 weeks (after a sleep study), but they didn't forward the paperwork for the sleep study until 7 weeks later. I called the office to reschedule my follow-up (since the sleep study had not been done), but it took three phone calls and a tantrum to get a call back. Now, I've had the sleep study, and one week, several calls and a tantrum later, I finally received a return call. And the rudeness. These people don't care that your head hurts. They contribute to it. I've suffered migraines for 25 years and if all the neurologists in Richmond operate the way Neurological Associates does, I'll have to suffer with them until I die! In my very short experience, this is a very poorly run operation. And don't bother calling the office manager. From what I am told, she is managing all three offices. She doesn't return phone calls either. Pros: the doctor Cons: the rest of the staff more

Great Docs....Bad Management 8/28/2008

\r Doctor Smith is a great doc, along with most other docs... so I hear. The staff seems under trained, disgruntled and more like temps than seasoned employees. I agree with the other reviews that they are slow to return calls or make appointments. From what I heard from my referring physician this practice used to be run well with knowledgeable employees who cared about the patients, but now is under new management and all the good people left. The fact that good employees were lost is sad and I hope those responsible for that loss are held accountable. The return to concern for the patients who need quality care needs to be addressed. Again I was happy with my doctor, but in looking at the other reviews I can understand the angst.\r Pros: Good docs, ask for Dr. Smith. Cons: Staff run like a McDonalds more

Terrible office staff!! Great Doctors but not worth the trouble with the office staff!! NO WAY 6/25/2008

The Doctors are great IF you can get an appointment or a call back. There are way too many people in the office and no one ever seems to be busy, but when you call they are quick to transfer you TO a VOICEMAIL. You will NEVER get a call back! I missed 2 MRI appts because the lady who scheduled them never called me to tell me when they were. I called everyday for 5 days. One of the voice mails tells you not to call back or your call will take even longer to return. She never returned calls anyways. I really wanted to see this doctor but the service from the office staff is probably the worst I have ever seen. Trust me I have been to a lot of doctors and hospitals. Choose another neuro. I won't go back and I have been a patient for quite a while- I can't take it anymore. Pros: The Doctors Cons: Everthing else more

Rude Docs 6/10/2008

Not worth your time. The nurses and docs are rude. Very hard to work with. I wish I could give them zero stars. Pros: You don't have to use them Cons: you may have to use them if you don't know any better more

Best doctors, Worst service 3/25/2008

Most knowledgeable neurologists in Richmond. Large group. Too much turnover in ""medical assistants"" who are the doctors' gatekeepers. Takes several days to get call returned even if you're having an urgent problem. You really are a hostage. You need them, and they know it. You'll get seen faster if you go to the ER and have Neurological Associates see you there. Excellent infusion center and nurse who manages it (Berkley). I'm a nurse. more

Billing department 3/10/2008

I was very impressed with the billing department of this group, as the representative named ""Donna"" was very courteous and helpful in resolving an issue that was caused by the appointment representatives. I also like my doctor, Dr. Brush, as his exam for my diagnosis was very thorough. more

Neurological Associates Inc. 10/11/2007

The doctor's office is difficult (almost impossible) to reach by phone. Appointments are very hard to come by and, if made, are not made in a timely manner and are not always kept. I would never refer anyone in my family to Neurological Associates Inc. Pros: can't think of any Cons: they make you feel like a hostage more
