Unfortunately, my husband and I have yet to have a good experience with Brown Floral. He frequently purchases flowers for me through FTD, and the order is sent to Brown Floral for fulfillment. It's never a satisfying experience.
But I want to focus particularly on how they ruined my Valentine's Day with their poor service.
I received a telephone call from the delivery man telling me that he was at my house and I told him I would not be back for about 15 minutes. He offered to leave the flowers on my doorstep. Total no-no. After some back and forth he said he would come back in 15 minutes after another delivery. So I cancelled an appointment I had and went home to wait for him. He NEVER SHOWED UP. So I called him again and he made up an excuse about having to go back to the shop and that someone would be coming within the hour. An hour and a half later, and still no flowers. It was past 5pm. I needed to go to the airport post office to pick up a package before they closed, so I called again, and the same guy called the new delivery guy who then called me and said, ""Well I will be there in around 15-20 minutes...probably."" And I told him that I couldn't have probably that I needed to know. And so he said, ""Well they could always just deliver them TOMORROW.""
Because EVERYONE wants to pay a premium for Valentine flowers to be delivered the day AFTER Valentine's day. And it's not like it ruins the holiday for you when you already can't spend it with your spouse and then the flowers never come.
So I called the shop today and was told the owner would call me back to talk about everything that happened.
SHE NEVER CALLED.
We will never be using FTD again, sadly, because FTD will ALWAYS send our orders to Brown Floral, and we want nothing to do with them.
Don't send your sweetie flowers through this florist or you'll be setup for major disappointment. Not only with delivery but also with the insane amount of substitutions they make for the flowers you actually order (previous bad experiences).
I was just really sad that my husband sent flowers and love all the way from South Korea and these people didn't even have the decency to treat me like a person. They wanted me to make it alright, and they wanted me to settle for subpar service. Don't get me wrong. I know Valentine's Day is hectic, but if you're incapable of providing good customer service on Valentine's Day and you're in the service industry, maybe you should count it as a holiday when you're CLOSED.
