Highly recommended! 4/12/2012

I have been seeing Michael Pingicer fairly regularly for 6 months now. He has helped me tremendously with recurring pain in my neck, shoulders, and hips. I had tried deep tissue massage for my back prior to coming to Michael, but I have found that acupuncture is superior to massage in healing my musculoskeletal issues. He has also treated me successfully for general immune system problems during the flu season and for anxiety/stress. Another benefit is the profound state of relaxation I feel during my sessions. I have referred several friends and family members to him. He is easy to talk with and, like another reviewer mentioned, is very pragmatic in his approach to, and explanations of, acupuncture. Michael has a healing touch and caring presence. My body and mind have without question felt healthier under his care. more

Rapid Healing 1/6/2011

Michael has helped me tremendously with a variety of physical ailments from SI Joint flare ups to a nearly frozen shoulder. The shoulder is a recent problem that has arisen from being a grad student who is always carrying a heavy backpack of books and papers and also from directing a lot of my stress to that area of my body. After several weeks of my shoulder not responding to heat packs and self-massage methods, I visited Michael for acupuncture. After one treatment my shoulder and mid-back area had substantially opened up and my pain and discomfort were dramatically reduced. After the third session I was much stronger and the pain and headaches that had been resulting from this issue were practically gone. I have been continuing to see Michael monthly during the stressful last months of writing my dissertation to keep my shoulder and mid-back area open and to help me manage stress. Michael is a wonderfully compassionate and talented healer. more

Helped me so much!!! 12/17/2010

Since beginning treatment with Michael, my immune system and sleep pattern have improved overwhelmingly. I used to get at least 2 or 3 awful sinus infections every year; I have not had any since seeing him for treatment. He has also used herbs to treat a stomach issue I had with amazing results. For months, I had been having no luck with any of the standard prescription acid-reducing medications. Michael's skills as an herbalist had me pain free within a couple weeks. more

Very Helpful 10/24/2010

Michael Pingicer's expertise with acupuncture helped reduce my foot pain stemming from an old injury. After receiving acupuncture and Chinese herbs from Mike, my symptoms were significantly less intense, and I enjoyed an overall sense of well-being. I would recommend him to anyone. He's a very skilled practitioner. more

excellent treatment 10/22/2010

I came to Michael with severe lower back pain after throwing my back out surfing. His treatments not only immediately helped me gain mobility and eased my pain considerably, but my back pain which in the past has lasted weeks, was gone within a few days, thanks to Michael's treatment. And his consul has helped me limit the amount of injuries I get every year. He is an efficient and warm caregiver. I would and have recommended him to anyone. more

helps me out in a pinch! 8/21/2010

I love that his office is right above the Tea Lounge and on the same floor as a yoga studio! It's easy to feel the good vibes as I come racing in from work and ease onto his table...Mike has helped me with a number of health issues over the time I have worked with him. Everything from digestive troubles to a sprained thumb has been improved by the acupuncture and herbs he recommended. I was really impressed by his caring approach and thorough diagnosis- he asks a lot of questions at the beginning but it seems to help make the treatment more precise. That has bothered me about some other practitioners is that they don't seem to pay attention to all the different factors that affect me- so I really appreciate that he takes the time to understand my complaint before he goes into action. more

True Health Care 7/16/2010

To say the Michael Pingicer helped me change my life is an understatement. For years I had been on the modern American medical treadmill, taking cycle after cycle of antibiotics for a ?tough? case of tonsillitis that none of my doctors could ?cure.? After several years of this, the last option given to me was to have my tonsils removed. For some reason, my instincts told me that I should keep them. I was disillusioned with the medical establishment?s ?5 minutes? of time with me and I set out to find an alternative. From my first meeting with Michael, my entire concept of health and well-being changed. Right from my first session with him, he instilled in me an honest feeling that he was truly concerned for my well-being and I immediately sensed his real desire to get to the root of my problem and help me help myself. Without getting into too much detail, he was able to diagnose and treat the true cause of my recurring tonsillitis, guide me towards a proper diet and exercise regimen that would help keep the problem from recurring and put me on a path to better health and well-being. His greatest gift, beyond his amazing expertise at diagnosing problems, his deftness at the actual act of needling and his ability to work with healing herbs and herbal prescriptions, is his willingness to share and pass on the knowledge he has gained over his years of training. He can distill very complex concepts of ancient Chinese medicine into clear explanations that anyone can understand and will encourage you to integrate these concepts into your daily life. Whether it relates to mental well-being, meditation, diet, exercise or more complex concepts such as the energetics of food and the balances of the five flavors, it is this all-encompassing approach that puts Michael head and shoulders above his peers, as well as the modern medical establishment? an establishment which discourages this honest inquiry and wants you to just ?take this pill.? If you, like I, have become disillusioned with what passes for ?health care? in the modern world, but are not ready to give up and become a perpetually sick statistic, please make an appointment with Michael ASAP. And remember, you do not need to be ?sick? to benefit from Michael?s treatments? anyone reading this will benefit from a healthy change in life-style that Michael will help you achieve! more
