It's not *that* bad. I've lived here for a bit more than five years now. The complex is owned by a German holding company, and while they don't care about anything but how much ...

Beware of these apartments (The don't even deserve 1 star) 12/15/2011

Please do not make the mistake of moving into these apartments. The staff may appear nice, but as far as taking care of business they have no idea how to conduct business. The guys who maintain the homes have no idea what they are doing. They half way fix things and you end up having to call them back over and over again on the same thing because they have no idea how to fix it. The exercise room is a joke the machines are broken most of the time. Beware of these apartments, before moving in stop a few of the tenants and ask them how this place is and anyone who lives here will tell you ""do not move in""!!! In order to get things fix in my place I had to contact the health department and my lawyer. Thank goodness they let us out of our lease early. Counting down the days! more

Sore as hell 2/4/2009

I have lived here for 1 year now. I am extremely upset over the fact that the maintenance here is a fluke. The snow has not been plowed and the ice on the street is as thick as a baseball. There has been nothing done what so ever. I took my child to get on the bus and as I was leaving I had slipped. Not 1 time but 2 times. The neighbors had to help me up. EXTREMELY EMBARRASSING. The cars and the school buses just slide and as this was happening the maintenace personal just sit and watch. I see the congrgating up at the mechanical office with there friends and lovers. No one is working and when they do , all you hear are complaints. I had a worker come to the house to fix a leak and when he saw it he was extremely rude. He fixed the leak and appologized for the rudeness and said he was having a bad day. This is no way to treat the people who are paying your salary. If I had not renewed my lease I would be moving immediately. I am sorry I did. more

would not recommend 8/12/2008

this place is honestly the crappiest place ive ever seen they do anything and everything to take your money. The maintanace is horrible, it took them 4 days and me telling them i was prego for them to come out and remove mold, and it took two weeks for them to fix our air when it was like 90 degress, and we had pieps with holes in them since we moved in and they found a gas leak after 10 months of living there. when we were in the process of moving out somethings went missing maintinace said they didnt throw anything out but it seems that all things left in there we still had to go back for of value such as a tv jewelry and anything that worked isnt there. i will say the staff in the office is over all nice they do what they can to try and make sure your taken care of. but i def. wouldnt recomend these apartments unless its all you can afford. we had to many problums kids scratching up your cars, teenagers causing problums, people deystoying your property witch i guess that comes with every area. all i have to say is good prices crappy living. Pros: none! Cons: everything!! hated the place could not wait to move more

Not the best, but not the worst either 5/5/2008

It's not *that* bad. I've lived here for a bit more than five years now. The complex is owned by a German holding company, and while they don't care about anything but how much money they can milk out of it, I've found the staff to be nice people who do want to help as much as they can. The staff are kind of caught in the middle, but I've always found them to be polite and concerned, even if there's not much they can actually do to help you. There's only one trash pickup, which is bad, and like the previous poster said, they don't have a lockbox for rent, which is annoying. The whole area has been going downhill in terms of crime - it's not just the apartments. The police do seem to have stepped up their activity in the past few months, though, so that's better than it was. On the good side, it's cheap to live here, and it's a very convenient location. They have two pools, one at each end of the complex, and an exercise room, all of which are well-appointed. There's also a facility that you can reserve for parties, if you're going to have one that won't fit in your apartment. My apartment, at least, is exceptionally well-insulated, and costs very little to heat or cool. They're certainly not great apartments, but they're a good value for the price. more

Don't move here. 7/19/2007

The staff at the Brookeville are very nasty. The property has had problems with multiple break ins. If you have a break in they WILL NOT let you out of you lease. They do not have a lock box for rent and water payment, you have to go to the office twice a month to pay your bill. If you are one day late you will be charged a late fee. They only have one place to dispose of trash and it is locate in the far back corner. If you don't live close you have to drive your trash over. Once my lease is up I will be moving. Pros: Large apartments and townhomes Cons: Nasty staff, no lock box for rent payments. more
