It's not *that* bad. I've lived here for a bit more than five years now. The complex is owned by a German holding company, and while they don't care about anything but how much money they can milk out of it, I've found the staff to be nice people who do want to help as much as they can. The staff are kind of caught in the middle, but I've always found them to be polite and concerned, even if there's not much they can actually do to help you. There's only one trash pickup, which is bad, and like the previous poster said, they don't have a lockbox for rent, which is annoying. The whole area has been going downhill in terms of crime - it's not just the apartments. The police do seem to have stepped up their activity in the past few months, though, so that's better than it was. On the good side, it's cheap to live here, and it's a very convenient location. They have two pools, one at each end of the complex, and an exercise room, all of which are well-appointed. There's also a facility that you can reserve for parties, if you're going to have one that won't fit in your apartment. My apartment, at least, is exceptionally well-insulated, and costs very little to heat or cool. They're certainly not great apartments, but they're a good value for the price.
