Brix was once my favorite Napa Valley restaurant. It offered a casual, yet elegant dining experience in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, poor management and service have taken their toll and I will not be returning. We made a reservation well in advance and yet were squeezed into a table too small for our group. The manager refused to expand the table because he didn't want to lose out on revenue from the extra table (he told us that). Too bad for him that all the tables were never filled that night. We went through two bottles of wine before our server took our order, even though we had let him know we were ready far earlier. We had two different peach dishes - one a salad and one a dessert -- or at least they were supposed to have peaches. They actually served the dishes with nectarines instead and still insisted they were peaches. Our entrees were very good and the sunset was beautiful -- too bad we can't say the same for the rest of the experience.
