Anything but ""luxury living"" 5/5/2012

If you re thinking about moving here...RUN! Go anywhere but here. We moved from one building because of noise to the other...and it got worse. More like a frat house than resort style living as described when we came to look at it for the first time. Garbage strewn through hallways and stairwells. Dog urine and feces in hallways and stairwells with a stench that s lingered for about 6 months. Maintenance is only available during office hours. We ve never been given a number to call for maintenance. You have to contact the office or find the staff in the bar if you have any problems. When you do report a problem...nothing gets resolved. I had to go to the bar to report noise from another apartment down the hall and on the opposite side of the hall from mine that was loud enough to wake my son (who sleeps like a rock). When I did contact the owner in the bar about the noise I was told The game s over now so they should quiet down. My quiet wasn t disturbing anyone s party but their party was disturbing our the middle of the night when quiet hours are from 10pm to did not quiet down. Broken and dangerous elevators. Anything but the peaceful, smoke free, secure community we were promised. People smoke EVERYWHERE, noise is awful, security is a joke. When they do lock the doors to the apartments (not all the time) the doors are always propped open with rocks, rugs, etc. The doors between the clubhouse, pool, fitness center, bar & grill, and salon are locked...from the wrong side. The front doors to the clubhouse are open during office hours, the doors to the retail area are unlocked as long as the bar is open and anyone can access them. The doors leading to the apartments are open to anyone at these times. I only have to use a key to get past the locks when I go from my apartment to the public areas, they don t lock from the other side so everyone s free to walk in. On several occasions people who don t live here have come to our door. About half of the fire extinguishers are missing, the rest are outdated. The TV s that were in the halls when we moved in were great for drowning out sounds from the halls...some were stolen, the rest were removed by the management. The basketball court they advertise is a cheap basketball goal on the tennis court...installed at an angle. The doggy park is situated on a steep hill behind a dumpster, it s always muddy and there is no walkway leading to it. I m the only person I ve ever seen picking up after pets. There s enough pet waste laying around I ve even picked up what my dogs didn t leave behind to avoid stepping in it. People throw their trash bags from their balconies. Sometimes they go back to pick them up and put them in the dumpster. We re not staying another week. I ve lived in a lot of places, but this is awful. more

Most of the staff is great, facility is good. Poorly are nice only because they are new. Place is expensive and at first glance attractive, but one you live here you quickly realize it's a farce and certainly not worth the money. There are many better options around that are significantly cheaper. I can hear my neighbors banging and thumping all hours of the night loud enough it that wakes me up and I'm a sound sleeper. Units insulated poorly. Elevator injured my wife and a partner/owner and manager dismissed it and didn't bother apologizing, in fact he was rather rude about it. Saying they are serviced weekly. I'm supposed to believe this when the fire extinguishers expired in 2009 and many are just missing, that they take the time and spend the money to maintain an elevator?
