Brisku's Bistro & Bar

My experience with this establishment was on a recent Sunday evening. There was a person at the bar and a group of 4 playing pool and the waitress/bartender. The rest of the place was empty. In the Old Irving neighborhood this doesn't seem to be uncommon so we just went in and grabbed a table. The waitress was attentive and helpful. The beer selection was pretty decent and the food menu runs with a Mediterranean tone. I enjoyed a chicken sandwich with mushroom added for only $.50 and tasty fries. My fiance had the stuffed chicken which came with a salad. Even though we were the only people in the place the salad came with the wrong dressing, but it was still good. My sandwich also came out at first without the mushroom and the waitress noticed before bringing it out and had the mushroom added. It was not a mere pile of canned mushrooms, mind you but a big tasty portobello! Although the dining experience wasn't perfect, the food and drink were good and provided a nice variation from the norm. more

Brisku’s Bistro & Bar is more bar than bistro, but we enjoyed the food here. There is a mix of meat and seafood dishes, with an eastern European touch. My order of lamb shanks was huge but a bit too fatty. I also had some grosh bean soup that was tasty. Don’t forget to order a tall glass of beer here. more
