We purchased an engagement ring and two wedding bands through Brilliant Earth and had a great experience during the whole process. All three rings were exactly how we imagined them and they are absolutely beautiful. They are of extremely high quality and very fairly priced for the end product. The staff was extremely friendly and willing to answer all of our questions including sending extra photos that are not on the website. We felt 100% comfortable and confident in our orders and even more so once we received the rings. They were all received before the projected delivery date. We had a horrendous experience trying to talk to local jewelers about ethically sourced diamonds. None of them could legitimately show us that their diamonds were conflict free, nor did they seem to care too much about looking into the matter. We will continue to support this company in the future...the combination of ethical jewelry and outstanding customer service is unmatched in the industry. more

This is THE place to get an engagement ring. The commitment to being conflict free and eco-friendly was the initial reason why I chose this company but they exceeded my expectations in every area. Customer Service: Perfect. Personal responses to my emails, commitment to help me find what I was looking for, knowledgeable people running the live chat feature, friendly and personal follow up after my purchase, etc. Product: Absolutely beautiful! And like I said, it is conflict free and eco-friendly. Just to know this beautiful ring with such great significance doesn't contain blood diamonds is a great thing. Shipping: FREE Overnight shipping, as promised (once the ring was set of course). It arrived precisely when they estimated it would. Cost: They seem to run slightly high but that is fine by me knowing the people mining the diamonds are making a fair wage. Also, in many cases purchasing the diamond out of state means no sales tax. Website: It is important for online purchasing to have a website that makes it easy to know what you are getting, explain the different details of diamond purchasing, etc. This website was better than any other jeweler I looked at (and I looked at many). I plan on purchasing my fiance's wedding band here as well. more

Great find, great experience, great piece of jewelry After some initial shopping with my now fiancé , I had a very good idea of what she was looking for in an engagement ring. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything like it other than at Tiffany's (where she first saw the setting). Tiffany's? No way...so I stumbled upon Brilliant Earth when searching for conflict free and being that I live in San Francisco, I scheduled a visit. I worked with Ryan who helped me design the perfect setting and select a fantastic stone for that setting. He created multiple mockups of the ring and was unbelievably patient throughout the process as my indecisiveness got in the way at times (changed design, changed stones, etc.) . He has integrity, like the company he works for, and I'd recommend Ryan and Brilliant Earth to anybody who admires those qualities in a company like I do. P.S., Their specialists don't work on commission so there's no unnecessary pressure. more

I got my engagement ring and matching wedding band from brilliant earth. They are beautiful pieces and very high quality. I've had the engagement ring for 9months now and it looks as good as new, no loose stones or anything. I just got my wedding band and they go very well together. I knew which engagement ring I wanted to purchase for my girlfriend long before I planned on purchasing them and proposing. During one of my live chat sessions with a specialist (awesome feature), she mentioned that the rings were going to be going up in price in a few days. I didn't have the money to make the purchase at that time and was very upset, but she told me that I could lock in the current price and work out a payment plan! It was amazing! On top of that, I worked with a great rep the entire time, and she was an absolute doll to work with. She was genuinely interested in my relationship with my girlfriend and was in contact often. I love Brilliant Earth! My husband and I have been loyal to Brilliant Earth since I discovered the website when looking for engagement and wedding rings. We received an amazing set of rings, and were also treated with incredibly personalized service. Not only are their jewelry designs incredibly beautiful but they are truly a socially and environmentally responsible company. I picked out my engagement ring and then we worked pretty closely with our sales person Beth. She was really proactive about suggesting a matching band, which actually looked amazing with the engagement ring even though it wasn't what I thought I wanted. We had to work with her remotely so she sent us lots of digital images to help us understand what our engagement ring would look like with multiple different wedding band options. When we the box arrived with the rings, I was absolutely thrilled with the quality. My rings looked incredible together, however wearing two rings instead one made them both feel really tight on my finger. I was concerned because my wedding band was ""eternity style"" and I feared that it couldn't be resized. I worried that I wouldn't be able to wear both rings together!! BE was so great about it. I called their service line in a panic right after I opened the box, and they immediately had me send back my ring to be completely remade in a slightly larger size. Thank you BE! Even years later, the rings have worn perfectly together and still sparkle like new. My husband just surprised me with a beautiful pair sapphire earrings for our two year anniversary and I love them! I can't wait to collect more BE treasures. more

What a great place. I've never bought an egagement ring before and I lucked out by having a great help me. She was very patient and I believe, went above and beyond for me. I live in Houston so handled everything via phone and email. When I narrowed down the setting and diamond, she had the couple diamonds I was interested in shipped to her store and she took photos for me so that I could see what they looked like. She then happen to have the setting I wanted and took a photo of the diamond sitting on top of the setting and even put it on to let me see the size comparison when worn. I doubt I would have gotten such service in most other places, especially those chains. Anyhow, I proposed about 1.5 weeks ago and thankfully she said yes. Possibly due in part to the beauty of the ring I got from this great company! more

Excellent products and service! I was so pleased with my engagement ring purchase, that I returned to purchase a pair of wedding bands, and I plan to return again when anniversaries come around. As customers go, I'm picky, I ask a lot of questions, and I had several special requests. BE was patient, answered all of my questions in a timely fashion, and satisfied all of my requests. My purchases are beautiful, get lots of positive comments from friends, and I enjoy sharing stories about how they are conflict-free, recycled, & customized. My ring finger measurement was a bit off, but BE performed their complementary ring resizing. The result is beautiful and the integrity of the recycled precious metals is preserved. My fiance and I purchased our wedding bands from Brilliant Earth. We set up an appointment to view some in person in San Francisco, and Danielle was very prompt and responsive in setting up our appointment for a Saturday afternoon. Be advised that if you go on a weekend, you'll have to use the call box and wait for someone to come downstairs and open the door. We were a little early, so they had us wait in a little room off to the side. Our rep met with us and showed us the wedding bands, and let us try any we wanted. We ordered that day and the rings arrived in less than 10 days! She emailed us to let us know they had been shipped, and FedEx came by the day after. Shipping them to my residence outside SF also meant that we paid slightly less in sales tax. Overall, excellent customer service and response. If you live in the Bay Area, it's worth a trip to the city to see the rings in person. But they are almost as gorgeous online as they are in person. Conflict-free diamonds and recycled metals are worth the small extra cost. more

I was very, very pleasantly surprised by how my transaction went. The ring is BEAUTIFUL-- even prettier than the pictures on their website made it look! I was offered prompt, friendly customer service before I ordered, and after the ring was shipped. I even got a follow-up email, thanking me again, and making sure that everything was perfect. Ryan Stauffer at Brilliant Earth designed my engagement ring and I could not be happier, not only with the finished product, but also with the process it took to get from vision to ring. I do not live in San Francisco and was never able to see Brilliant Earth's work in person, so I was somewhat wary of having such an important piece of jewelry designed from a remote location. However, all of my anxieties were quickly put to rest as it became clear that Brilliant Earth strives to provide excellent customer service and to maintain open communication lines with their customers--my queries, feedback and check-ins were always warmly received and I always received prompt replies. my husband found Brilliant Earth online after i asked him please not to buy a diamond someone had to die for. i didn't think i really wanted a diamond ring but i am now totally in love with the gorgeous sparkly stone he picked out and the perfect classic setting (we picked the 6 prong). i had to send the engagement ring back for resizing and so we took advantage of the one free resetting to get a slightly more comfortable fit (my ring started with the traditional knife-edge band; i switched to the comfort band) - what a great service. Senior Jewelry Specialist Danielle worked with me tirelessly to find the right setting and fit for my diamond, taking photos at the showroom for me so i could see all the settings on a real hand and with wedding bands - i didn't even ask for this, she just offered. she kept in touch with me faithfully through the whole process. our wedding bands as well are from Brilliant Earth and we love love love them. the wedding band looks great with my engagement ring. i absolutely recommend BE to anyone in need of rings. i am so pleased that my husband found a company which fit so well with the values of local, recycled, sustainable that we worked to include in our big day - i love him all the more for it. i cannot recommend BE and Danielle highly enough - she is by far the best customer service person i have ever had the pleasure to work with. thank you! more

My fiance and I live in MT, and after unsuccessfully looking in local jewelry stores for an engagement ring that suited both our taste and our budget, I noticed an ad for Brilliant Earth on Facebook. We were interested in a Canadian diamond. I had a look at their webpage and noticed that they had a showroom (by appointment) in SF. I contacted them by email and set up an appointment to coincide with a trip we were planning to visit family in the area. What a great experience it turned out to be! We drove into the city and found nearby parking with no problem. A gal met us in reception and escorted us to a private room with numerous loose diamonds that she had selected for us to view based off of email discussons of our parameters. She was extraordinarily knowledgable and made the whole experience really fun for both of us. There was none of the high pressure sales technique that we had experienced in other stores. We selected a stone that I absolutey love. She was great at taking what were really just our impressions and ""gut feelings"" about a stone and explaining the underlying structural characteristics that gave the stone the qualitites to which we were responding. We learned a lot, and ended up with ""The One"". It is an absolutely gorgeous ring. I can't stop staring at it, and it sparkles like nothing I've ever seen! It was really important for us to get a conflict-free diamond, preferably from Canada. I was sold on buying from BE, but I found the setting that I wanted, and that my girlfriend's best friend approved of, on another web site. BE said that they could design a setting just like it if not better and they did! BE did a wonderful job. The ring is beautiful and my girlfriend loves it.
