\r I moved to Nashville about a year ago. I have been looking for a great place to go. Breon Hair Salon did not disappoint. \r \r Believe me, I am picky. This is my experience:\r \r Called for an appointment, and was told.. sure we can fit you in! Rachel has a opening for a cut and blow dry. So I booked it! That as probably the best decision I ever made!\r \r Staff: Could not be nicer, more helpful, and accommodating\r \r Wash: Leah is amazing! Be ready to fall asleep with what is the most comfortable and relaxing hair wash I have experienced. \r \r Rachel (Stylist): She is by far, the best stylist I have ever had. I am 47, so I have been around the block a few times. She takes the time to talk to you, find out about your likes and dislikes. Really listens. I had the most amazing cut (long hair, and she added layers). My husband was so impressed, I had a date night! This was a month ago... \r \r I went back today for a color. Leave it to Rachel to put in a all over color and have it look like natural. Light hits my hair, and you see highlights of gold and auburn in a rich brown. Shiny, soft, gorgeous!! \r \r This salon is worth the time and money! If you don't try it, you will regret it! more

I just got back from Breon and I'm still beaming... What a fantastic place! Jereece is a great stylist, she even gave me a hug at the end of my appointment :) \r \r I had my hair cut somewhere in Knoxville a couple of months ago, and I wanted to return it back to the original shape. Jereece looked at the style of my hair, and did an amazing job - it actually looked better than the original style. She gave me some good advice about blowdrying the style, and styled it just how I like it. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I didn't rush home to wash it and re-style it. I really can't say enough about how spot-on she was with the service, I felt like she listened intently, picked up on what I was trying to say and carried it out exactly as I had requested.\r \r I was tempted by a product, but was unsure whether I should buy it because of my budget. Instead of pushing me to get it and spend more, they told me ""it'll still be here on your next visit if you want to wait"". It's the little things like that that make an appointment perfect. I ended up buying it :)\r \r I was skeptical of how a place could have such amazing reviews, but it turns out that it's because of their professionalism, skill and willingness to go above and beyond for their customers. RACHEL - ROCKS! So - after dumping an otherwise talented stylist (2+ years) because of her excessive tardiness & lack of professional etiquette to correct it, I went through another one that just could not get my color right. I surfed salon after salon (for hours!) & it was the ""before & after pics"" on BREON'S site that steered me their direction. Impressed with the elegantly hip yet tranquil vibe, I was still praying my appointment with Rachel would be...the ""one"". Fate did not disappoint. Her input, willingness to really HEAR what I was striving for and her passion for her art created a new look for me - so amazing that I was almost crying after I left! Can't wait for my next appointment and oh, did I mention that JEREECE was able to create the most awesome layers on my beautiful 6 year old daughter who - happened to have become ambitious with her own scissors days before our appointment! Jereece made flawless layers and textures to where my daughter's 'creative work' was beautifully crafted in Jereece's magic touch! THANK YOU GOD for BREON and the most talented and innovative artists she brings to the team - MAD LOVE to Rachel and Jereece! (see you in a couple of weeks! ;D ) more

In 33 years of getting my hair cut, I have only found ONE person who I would hands down go back to see time after time...until today! Maleah at Breon Hair Salon has been added to the list. I have been living in Nashville for 2 years now and finally found her! She is knowledgeable, experienced, and a perfectionist. I can't wait to visit her again for another hair cut! more

Southern Hospitality for your Hair!! 3/16/2012

Breon Hair Salon in Nashville provided one of the best salon experiences I've ever had! I live in Downtown Chicago and found it on City Search prior to my trip to Nashville for March Madness. Everyone there was SO SO SO NICE!!! I guess this is what they mean by southern hospitality :) The owner (Breon) is amazingly beautiful and helpful and the whole place is just so relaxing inside and set up so you have a really tranquil experience. I had Jereece as my stylist and she came up with the best idea to do a reddish brown glaze and it looks AWESOME! I just love it. It's too bad I don't live nearby to go for upkeep =( I may just have to make Nashville a routine trip... Rachel also did my eyebrows (I didn't make an appointment for this and she took me anyway!) and they are infinitely better than before--no over-waxing just very natural shape and arch. The hair products used on me were Redken and they also have TONS of other products too. Their makeup bar looks like a lot of fun too--I would have loved to stay and play. Jereece even wrote down my color formula to take back with me, which was incredibly nice. Seriously, this place is awesome and everyone there is so nice, helpful, polite and hospitable. Great place, really nice ladies and awesome service and value! Been there about 4 times, and last visit was with Jereece- she is great! I'm a guy with thick wavy hair and she knew exactly what to do to get it the way I wanted! Gonna go back there many more times! more

Breon is the BEST! 1/16/2012

I just had my first visit with Breon. I was frustrated with my cut and color and want both to be better. I was nervous to try someone new as I have had some really bad experiences. I have long, dark, curly hair and many stylists don't understand curly hair. Breon got it 100%! She was professional, personable and got exactly what I looking to do.She also showed me how to style it and showed me a couple of different looks to try besides the usual boring pony tail. She was not a product pusher and suggested ONE product to use. All of the staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend Breon and will be regular client of hers. more

Love My Hair NOW!!!! 1/14/2012

I want to give accolades to Rachael Latham and her assistant Beth. Rachael gave me the best haircut that I've received in a very long time. I have received so many compliments on the style and color. It has been so easy to maintain the style at home. There has been many times the haircut has not been flattering or easy to style. THANK YOU THANK YOU Rachael! She took the time to find out about my hair, explain what works for me and product to use to maintain great, quality hair. The shampoo that her assistant Beth gave me was absolutely wonderful. Thanks to Ms. Jennifer Bruce Denney for recommending Breon's. I am a young country artist who came to town for some shows and a pretty important meeting. We needed somewhere to go for hair and make-up. Rachel and Breon are the BEST. Made my whole family feel right at home and I loved what they did with my hair and make-up. Ms. Breon also gave me some awesome advice about the crazy country music business. We will be making the trip from PA again in a few months and we will definitely stop back! more

Breon's Excellent Hair Designers 11/3/2011

I began going to Breon's simply because it was close to where I work. I certainly lucked out because their salon and designers are simply superb!! I am in my late 50s but don't want to look that old. I have short hair but want it to be fun and funky. I gave Allison control of what she wanted to do and she made me look at least 10 years younger. If you want a short no maintenance hair style and still look fashionable, ask for Allison. more

Do you want to look good NOW! 10/26/2011

When my son played for the Titan's, I discovered Breon. She had made a coupon donation to help a Breast Cancer survivor that ended up in a package I purchased at a local restaurant. She is brilliant. Now my son is on the Chargers, and I live in San Francisco. However, I go to Breon as often as I can to get much needed Hair therapy>No one can make my Hair look as good as Breon. All my professional photos from my Breon Hair appointments are used on my cards and web sites. Now I just need to sell a few more million dollar homes so I can get to Breon more often. Amazing Hair Cut & Color 10/12/2011

I recently went to Breon Hair Salon to get a hair cut and color. Rachel Smith, my stylist was excellent. She took me back to her station and talked to me first about my hair and how I style it. I explained to her that I have long naturally curly hair and normally wear it that way throughout the week. She suggested that we trim off the dead ends and put some long layers in which would give me extra volume for when I wear it straight and curly. Next, we discussed the coloring optioins. My natural hair color is a medium brown. I explained to her that I would like to go a little bit darker, but I didn't want it to look like it was almost black. She brought over a coloring guide that showed me different choices of browns that I could choose from. She suggest 2 color options mixed together that would give me a dark rich brown color, with a hint of red. I was amazed at what a wonderful job she did. My cut was everything I was looking for and she didn't take a lot off, which I normally happens when I say I want a couple inches taken off. The color was rich. It was exactly what I was looking for. I will recommend anyone to go and visit this salon, and especially Rachel Smith and the staff. They take the time to talk to you and figure out what you want, instead of just cutting away. Thank you Rachel for an awesome cut and color. I will definitely be back to see her soon for another cut and color. more

Unhappy with haircut 9/9/2011

I went today with a picture of the desired haircut, I realized it probably wouldn't look the way I had hoped it would have today, tomorrow when I fixed it, but it did not look anything like the picture. The hairstylist said everyone sees things differently, so I asked several people after leaving what they thought as to the style and the picture, they didn't think it came near to the style. Everyone was very nice and polite. The shampoo was enjoyable. I did leave a tip for both because I try to be polite and do the right thing. I won't be using this salon again, though more

The absolute best hair experience in my 40 yrs of living took place seven weeks ago w/ Breon at Breon's Salon. Beautiful and talented woman whose passion shows in all she does. I arrived early to ensure traffic didn't hinder my appointment. Very attentive and courteous front desk staff as well as every single employee inside the building. Your comfort is ensured as well as receiving a very timely experience. Even the young lady who was cleaning up continually had a beautiful smile on her face. I felt at peace from the moment I walked through the door. Breon's attention to detail remains impeccable. The best part is she has the absolute talent to deliver on the very best hair experience imaginable. Many stylists may seemingly pay attention to your requests or previous dilemmas but fail to provide a talented cut and style. Breon not only takes the time to understand who you are as a person, the look you'd like to present, your lifestyle and time constraints, as well as twenty aspects you wouldn't even think to share with her that directly relate to how you wear your hair and styling abilities...and she has the talent to provide a stellar cut and amazing styles. She wants you to love your hair, love styling it, and have fun wearing it. She is beyond amazing. Truly a beautiful woman from the inside out. I absolutely love her and her work!! Time Crunch 8/21/2011

While the salon is beautiful, you may spend most of your time staring at it than actually getting your hair done. The owner seemed a little high strung and unconsiderate of my time. If you want your hair done by the owner herself, make sure you plan a vacation. Remember, we make your paycheck, don't waste my time. more

Phenominal Professionalism 6/28/2011

I have been one of Breon's clients for over seven years. For many years I have been amazed at Breon's ability to give me fantasic cuts, color and styles. Even more than simple cuts and styling, I admire her ability to teach me how to maintain my style between visits. About five years ago my hair began to turn gray and Breon came to my resuce. I have a severe allergic reaction to most hair color products, but that did not phase Breon. She worked with me to come up with a technique that would allow her to color my hair on a regular basis without causing a reaction. This level of attention to detail and incredible service is why I will always be a loyal Breon client! more

Julia Anne's AMAZING customer service 6/9/2011

I recently moved to Nashville from Charleston, SC. As anyone who received regular salon services, I am a little nervous about finding a stylist. I contacted the salon via their website, because I had so many questions and didn't want to keep them on the phone forever. My email was given a very timely and professional reply, ensuring that should I decide to call, Julia Anne would spend all the time needed on the phone to adequately answer my questions. Honestly, I had become so accustomed to the receptionist at my former salon being so short and abrupt with me, I think I expected the same thing. Wow. I did call the salon, and Julia Ann was extremely patient and thorough. I made an appointment for next week. If my salon experience is anything like my phone experience, I will be pleasantly surprised and very content! Basically, I was so pleased by the interaction, I took the time to write this review before even visiting the salon. Thanks for your time Julia Ann! more

Relaxing, Enjoyable Experience!! 5/11/2011

Nashville should be proud to have Breon Hair Salon!! The owner is a true professional in her skills and her temperament. Everyone is treated the same in this shop, whether you're wealthy or, well, not so much. Breon and Ronnie, along with their staff, work hard to make your visit to this shop an enjoyable experience - and they have been very successful in that regard. Breon's work is impeccable and she wouldn't have it any other way. Ronnie, Breon's husband, is also her best friend and he's there for whatever needs to be done either at the front desk or however else he can be helpful. They are a great team and run a business of which they both should be proud. I'm truly glad I took the advice of my neighbor to try this shop; i look forward to every visit!!! more

Wonderful Salon; Caring, professional owner!! 5/11/2011

Over the years I have sought hair care at a fair number of salons so I feel I am as qualified as anyone to judge whether or not a hairdresser/salon offers exceptional service. I have to say that Breon and her staff have jumped right to the top of my list of the best!! I think most of us are a little apprehensive when we go to a new salon but once I stepped inside this shop and saw the wonderful, relaxing atmosphere, I was very, very pleased. The next step was the most relaxing shampoo and scalp massage I've ever experienced. Then when I moved to Breon's station, she took the time to chat with me before starting to work on styling my hair. It was a pleasant, relaxing conversation which gave her some idea of my personality and the image we wanted to project with my haircut, since I had supplied no photo to show her what movie star I wanted to look like!! My hair looked better than I've ever seen it and I'm continuing to return for follow-up visits. In fact, I wouldn't go anywhere else!! Breon and her husband, Ronnie, have a great partnership in this business: Ronnie oversees the grunt work and Breon makes her clients beautiful!! I might add that it's a happy place - no hint of the gossipy, catty behavior I've seen in so many salons. It's just a wonderful place to spend an hour or two - at a very reasonable and fair price. more
