Lansing is fortunate to have a Boys & Girls Club! I know that other cities like Detroit, Flint, Bay City, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Madison (WI), and hundreds of other cities have benefited from a place for children to call ""home"" after school. I'm glad that kids in Lansing have a safe place to go when they aren't in school (including summer vacation, Christmas break, spring break, snow days and the like) and it only costs $10 for the whole year! Kids get help with homework, play games, participate in engineering programs, science programs (Grossology), and thrive in the recreation and arts & crafts program! The computer center and gym are state-of-the-art! As impressed as I am with the building...the staff makes the place great! They care about the kids....they work hard to ensure that kids thrive in various areas....and they create a safe environment! Nice job Boys & Girls Club of Lansing! You are a shining example of what a few caring adults can do in a community...and Lansing is better for it!
Pros: Caring staff, clean building, lots of educational and recreational programs for kids!
