Workers always pleasant, professional. Seem thorough. Go into crawl space, garage, house, etc. No termites here. Yes, the appointment maker starts calling two months early and keeps calling periodically, but I don't find it annoying. I politely ask to be called back at beginning of year each time. more

Rude and Unprofessional 5/17/2012

This business cold calls even if you are on the do-not-call list. Received a call from them today saying they would be in our neighborhood. When I informed her we are on the do-not-call list she completely ignored me and went on with her ""speech."" If these people could give a rip about the law, do you really think they have your best interests in mind as a customer? I wouldn't touch this business with a ten foot pole!! more

I started noticing little dark pellets or ""droppings"" in my garage and patio. A neighbor of mine referred me to Bowers and I was extremely pleased with the service and cost of work they did on my house. The estimate I was given came in at a few hundred dollars less than another company I had out to take a look. The first guy that came out, Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable, and was able to answer all my questions. Two other men came out to perform the actual treatment and they too were very professional and helpful. more

For the last few years Bowers Termite has been treating my home for termites. Whenever I need them to come out to treat my home they always come out right away and take care of any problem I'm having. They return calls right away and I usually always am able to get them over within a day. The guys that come out always do a great job too. It's nice knowing my home is protected and I can always count on Bowers to take care of me. more

Prompt Service.. Good Deal. 1/12/2012

I am really impressed with the service that I received from Bowers. I had them come out for a free inspection because over the summer I noticed some termites flying around. They came out and checked out the whole house, showed me where they found termites and damage. They told me what my options were for treatment and surprisingly they did not push me to go with the more expensive option. Bowers was a much better deal than the other estimate I got from another company. I have had to call them back once for a service call and they were very prompt and came out the very next day and took care of it. I plan on renewing my service with them at the end of the year. more

Long Term Customer, Very Happy! 1/12/2012

Bowers has been treating my home for termites on their control service plan for the past four years. They always do such a thorough job of inspecting and treating my home.Before I started with them I would notice droppings throughout my house and since they started servicing my home I have not had any droppings or infestation. They come out every year and all the technicians are always so polite and friendly. I recommend them to any one looking for peace of mind when it comes to their home. more

What's with these guys? DO NOT CALL 6/11/2011

We are on the do not call list. They block their number so that you likely can't track where the call was initiated or maybe block. However they do identify themselves right away when you answer. They want to speak to the owner of the property which means they are trying to sell something and they don't have the name of the owner so it is definately a cold call. They don't give their number out but when you search their name online you can find the number here. They didn't answer their phone but have an unprofessional answering machine grab the call. more

I got a phone cold call today. I am on the 'do not call list', so I asked for the company name--Bowers Termite. I asked for their phone number at which point the young man was very reluctant and ended up giving me a phony number. I asked for his name, I'm sure that was phony also. I told him I was on the do not call list and please do not call me again. I googled the company and called their real number and asked for the owner or manager. The young lady said she could take a message. I asked her if their company makes telemarketing calls. She said that they do have calling centers to make appointments for FREE inspections, so that, she explained, does not qualify as telemarketing. They are not selling a product. They are giving FREE inspections. I asked if they honor the do not call list and she said it does not apply to them. Wow. I would never do business with these people. more

These people ignore the ""do not call list"" They are rude when you tell them that they are violating the law and will habg up without an apology. Reputable companies do not need to annoy the public with unsolicited phone calls. They should have plenty of referrals. more

Rude and unprofessional 3/26/2011

I?ve had an annual contract with Bowers for 10+ years and I?m horribly disappointed by their recent lack of professionalism, rudeness and total disregard for the customer?s needs. Last week?less than 2 months after renewing my annual contract?I called Bowers and scheduled an appointment for their technicians to come out and treat an area where I found termite droppings. I called on a Thursday and the appointment was for the following Tuesday?3 business days later?between 2:30 and 5:00 p.m. This was not a rush job. By 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Bowers had not showed but when I called the office, I was told the truck was on its way and should be here within 20 minutes. No one showed. And the next day, no one called to apologize, explain or to reschedule. On Thursday, I called Bowers, left a message on their voice mail and within a couple of hours received a call apologizing with a promise that someone would be out that day. Again, no one showed. On Friday?now 3 days after the scheduled appointment?I called again. The office suggested that the truck broke down and said I would receive a call from the manager. Nothing happened. Still, nothing has happened?except that they have my money for the annual contract and my home has an untreated termite infestation. And funny thing about the truck breaking down. That was the excuse Bowers used the previous time I had to call someone to come out. And the time before that, the guys handling the job finally showed up around 7:00 p.m. (They even asked if they could come back tomorrow?after I spent my day waiting for them to show up.) Giving the devil his due, when Bowers does show up, the technicians are courteous and seem to know what they are doing. But it?s not worth the aggravation and my house is still untreated. I recommend you look somewhere else for termite control. more

good responsive service 7/21/2008

Hello, I had a unique and VERY positive experience with this company. I am living out of state and my parents have had a service contract with Bowers for over 10 years. My parents are in their 90's and unable to hear telephone conversations or to make decisions like they used to. On their behalf, I called Bowers late one afternoon and asked that a supervisor call me. Promptly the next day, a gentleman returned my call and said a field representative would shortly be back to me. His name was Christopher and he called right back and scheduled an appointment to go out to my folks house the next day. After his inspection,he spoke with my dad AND called me too to let me know suggested work to be done. He was extremely thorough, professional and honest. After suggesting two methods for fixing the problem, he leaned toward the less cost and just as effective method for work thus saving my folks some money. Within two days following Christopher's visit, the repairman arrived on the job and did a thorough and clean job. His name is Robert and again a great worker and person. To sum up the job from start to finish was excellent. They were honest in their evaluation of the work needed to be done, quick and responsive to the needs of my parents and thorough in their approach to the problem. I would rx this company highly and my hats off to a job well done. On a side note, Christopher was the original person who sold my parents on this company 10 years ago which says something about an employee and the companyestaying with the same job for this period of time! horrible service 1/17/2008

I purchased an annual contract with these guys, and then I finally needed them for something IMPORTANT. We were selling our house, and we needed them to come out in the amount of time prescribed by our escrow to do the termite inspection. They cancelled on us without even contacting us TWICE, and the supervisor was supposedly paged 3 times to call me back but never did. Half the time I call, I don't even get to speak to a human being. I am right now waiting for them for a THIRD time and they still haven't shown up. Pros: none because we can't get service Cons: what good is a termite SERVICE if you can't get SERVICE more
